A Japanese farmer came up with the idea so the fruit would fit better in the fridge.
He did it by growing the melons inside square glass boxes. The experiment took place on Japan's southwestern island of Shikoku, where the melons were unveiled on Thursday to bemused consumers.

you can mold them, you can mold them into anything, when they are babies, but them in any mold you want, make sure there is still sun and air and water..and as they grow they will take that shape...I've see them with faces on them!
