They are considered to be retired, so I would think their contract for enlistment would not be upheld. Enlistment bonuses are very flexible in all military branches.

It all depends upon how much time was served. Once you become a one year veteran, the bonus cannot be taken back. Prior it's all the Navy's money... Also, if you can prove they let you in with a disability, after you passed the physical Exam, then they lose everything. However the proof is up to you to find and provide. Also ask your local VA representative. They may be able to help in ways you never thought of.

NO, they cannot recoup the bonus due to disability or involuntary sep due to disability.

yes - if you are separated for any reason prior to the end of your initial enlistment, you lose the bonus.
