God be with you. Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best. My Prayers will be with you.

I may be opposed to this illegal conflict in Iraq, but anyone that would be so brave as to enlist, knowing what they may have to endure is worthy of commendation (unless they dishonor their service with some horrendous act). Just be careful and abide by international law.

Listen to caly925. Your instructors know what they're talking about; the things they tell you have the potential to keep you alive. You should always listen to what they tell you and have a good attitude about the things they are training you to do.

In the military, you will have the opportunity to meet people from all over the country and many different walks of life. You will discover that some of these people share your values, and some don't. It's no use being a solder, fighting for things like truth and freedom, if you sacrifice your personal integrity for it. Don't give into peer pressure if your so-called friends in the army want you to do inappropriate things. True friends will respect your values and not try to get you to go against them. Remember that when you finish your duty, you're still a man, and you have to live with whoever you've become.

Go airborne! Better yet, dont go at all. War is pointless, you can not kill an idealogy. I believe it is our responsibility to fight for the little guy, to liberate the oppressed, protect human rights, yadda yadda yadda. Thats the only thing worth fighting for. Yet we turn a blind eye to the genocide in the sudan, while we continue to fight a hopeless quagmire in iraq. I am in the army, airborne infantry hooah. Its depressing. Stay home, or join the peace corps.

Proud of anyone who will put their life on the line if needed to make sure these idiots that say sign your will have the right to do so. My husband was 11M for six years, till his knees and back gave out, I was very proud of him and still am. Someone needs to be on the front line when needed.

Hey chuckles, there's never peace! No matter what's or what's not going on the military are deployed somewhere.

Well, your typing and/or spelling sucks. If you are serious then thank you VERY much. If there weren't people like you then this country wouldn't be such a nice place to live. Good luck.

Bravo - good for you. Don't listen to these military-hating dopes. You'll be serving your country, which is pretty damn admirable.

You should be an Apache pilot, though. Or a sniper. They get to kill a lot more.

I'll make my suggestion, when you tell me which side you will be fighting for. Regardless of which side you're on, I wish you well. Suggestions though--I'll reserve on the grounds that I don't know which side you're on.
