No. There are regions of thought where a person may create his or her own hell or heaven, but it's only a place of perception, not a reality.

It's really based on faith. Heaven and hell are like the simplest forms of positive and neagtive. Way back when people did not know philosophy or science, some poeple probably made up heaven and hell. Whatever makes you feel good, that is what you should believe. Why are there so many religions and there are a lot of people who have miseries or successes in each religion? Besides, nobody really knows if there is really a heaven or hell, and if someone really knew, are they gods themselves?

Yes. Heaven and Hell are two contrary perspectives on the lived reality of life on Earth. This life is Heaven, or Hell, depending on your existential stance toward it.
If you are referring to the zonal afterlife mythology, derived ultimately from Zoroastrianism, of Western monotheistic religions, however, then the correct answer would be: no one can say. This is a matter of personal belief. Some choose to believe that this is a numinous truth about the experience after death, others that it is a myth, others that it is a metaphoric system.

When you die, then the sum total of life, everything you did, everything you said, every thought you ever had, are all in this form of energy we call the soul.
Your soul enters the presence of God. God is hard to explain, its light, love, and a consuming fire. When you get close it overwhelms you. You'll want to get as close as you can, but it also scary. So those souls who can, do get close; and those souls who can't try to hide from the light, but no place is far enough.
So heaven and hell are really the same place. It's all the presence of God. It just depends on the condition of your soul.
The proper nurturing of your soul would be to: seek knowledge, practice being loving, and relishing everything in this world that is beautiful. That is all there is to know.

There is a heaven - that is the spirit realm where god lives, but no Hell. The word Hell in some bibles is a mistranslation of the hebrew word meaning 'grave' (sheol), and the rest of the bible consitently teaches that when we die, we cease to exist, for instance read Ecclesiastes 9:5,10.

There is a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. Unless, of course, you think God is lying. And if that is the case, then you have more to worry about than asking questions online.

Yes, the earth could be a heaven, but we made it to a hell to too many people.

heaven yes.
hell no.
'hell' is meerly figurative for 'the grave' or the place where all teh dead go. it doesnt actually mean anyhting to do with the fiery lake where satan and his followers go. the fiery lake just means the 'second death' or the place of no return. hades also known as hell in some bible translations, is the first death, the sinfull death all humans have to go through, yet have the opertunity to get resurected out of.

I believe so! And on the day I die If I'm wrong what have I lost?but If I'm wright. Then my enternity will be spent in the place I choose and not the place that I wondered existed! Have you ever heard anything good about hell? The BIBLE has a lot of information on both places. Choose now or have it chosen for you? Its a thought...

There is heaven and hell...the believer will have everlasting life in heaven while the unbelievers will have everlasting condemnation in hell...
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Hell is a very interesting study...I haven't done a study in my blog yet on heaven, but I do know there are three heavens.
