A blow dryer and a round brush or a curling iron just don't wrap the hair around.
I wouldn't use chemicals because it's a long process and when it grows out it'll make your hair really weird and because it damages it really bad.

Start with the back of your head, use a round brush, blow dry as you pull the hair and turn the brush. do a section at a time, pin up what you're not doing yet. Use plenty of gel or a temporary straightening product for maximum hold.

Sorry but that's all I know how to use. I use a Coriolis hair straightner and is fully ceramic and it hasn't killed my hair at all and you could do other awesome things w/ it.
