as several of your other respondents have already said it is probably a better idea to get your collie spayed than encourage her to lose interest in you even further by littering.
and collies are highly intelligent dogs who bore easily. either get her some language tapes or else a juggling kit.

Whoa. First of all, if you are talking about her like that, are you sure you're giving -her- the respect she deserves too? Also, impregnated?! What?! How in the world would that make her respect you more? SPAY HER, you FOOL. Maybe THAT would 'calm her down', and then you wouldn't contribute to the thousands of REDICULOUS pet owners in this country that do not spay and neuter their pets, leaving thousands of shelters across the country with absolutely no where to put all these animals, euthanizing hundreds of dogs and cats a day.
Sick.

If you are letting her out on her own you are being irresponsible. She sounds like a fairly dominant female, and has decided to go and do her own thing. You need to take the initiative and put her on the lead to take her out.
It may be that she is maturing, preparing for her first season and is roaming. If you let her have pups it will not make her more subissive or obediant; just the opposite. Only top females in the hierarchy breed.
Not only that, but having one litter will make her want pups for the rest of her life, and thats just plain cruel. Owners may think it cute or funny when their female adopts some object and treats it like a pup, but she is suffering.
Take her to obediance and agility and give her some work. This breed are just not cut out for the life of a pet.

Your dog is acting like a normal dog. Breeding her will not help anything. Border collies are high energy working dogs that need thorough training and a job to do in addition to exercise. Think about it--they were bred to herd sheep all day. You need to find some sort of job that she feels responsible for. Talk to a trainer.

regardless of the amount of exercise this dog is BORED collies are working dogs - they need mental stimulation as well as walks.
try training her to new commands - this will also reinforce the you boss scenario. praise her when she does the new command and then move on to something more difficult.
try agilitynet.co.uk - there is an agony aunt on those pages and obviously alot of border collie related problems. There is also a list of all agility clubs in the UK - it might be worth trying one of those for an hour a week with your dog.
Good luck

dont get her pregnant just because she is not doing as she is told. you dont say how old the dog is? if she is between 6- 18 mnths, she is going through the classic teenage stage, testing her boundaries. You just need to be dominant and enforce her good behaviour. She will grow out of it. the other option would be to enrol in obedience classes or take her to agility. Most collies love these activities as it stimulates their minds and bodies. This will help strengthen you in the leadership role as she will have to follow you. Good luck. Hope it gets sorted

breeding your dog will not solve behavioral problems. get her spayed and enroll in obedience classes or start working with her in agility or flyball. My guess is that although you think you're giving her plenty of exercise, you may not be, border collies need not only an immense amount of plain exercise, but they also need to be having a job to do, otherwise they will get bored and start acting up.

border collies are traditionally working dog and one of the most intelligent breeds, they need to be stimulated, both menatlly as well as loads of exercise...give her loads of toys while you're gone try one that you can fill with treats to keep her interested
Dogs don't benefit from having pups, get her spayed ,its kinder and will calm her down!

IF YOU HAVE EVER LET HER OUT OF THE HOUSE BEFORE YOU OR LET HER PULL YOU WHEN YOU WALK HER OR LET HER PULL TO SAY HI TO ANOTHER DOG, LET HER PULL TO SEE PEOPLE LET HER JUMP ON YOU AND YOU STILL PAY HER ATTENTION EVEN IF FOR A BAD BEHAVIOUR. YOU HAVE GIVEN HER THE CONTROL SHE HAS BECOME THE DOMINANTE ONE. IF SHE IS JUMPING YOU DONT HAVE A DOG UNTILL SHE SITS IGNORE HER GIVING ANYBAD BEHAVIOUR ANY KIND OF ATTENTION IS A REWARD, SUCH AS PULLING TOWARDS ANOTHER DOG LETTING HER SAY HI TO THE OTHER DOG AFTER SHE PULLED IS THE REWARD. YOU NEED TO LET HER KNOW YOU ARE THE BOSS AND SHE ONLY GETS WHAT SHE WANTS IF SHE DOES IT YOUR WAY AND HER REWARD FOR BEING GOOS IS SEEING THE OTHER DOG OR AFTER SHE STOPS PULLING WHILE YOU WALK HER THE REWARD IS THE WALK.
