Pertaining to Black Holes...
1. If they exist at all, they are nowhere near as radical as they have been described.
2. It's just a star that has collapsed in on itself and become a lot smaller and a lot more dense.
3. It's gravitational pull is astronomically more powerful than the average star and anything that gets close enough will get pulled into its surface and destroyed.
4. Objects are crushed by the star's force before crashing into its surface.
5. Mentioning (4) and not (3) clouds the issue, completely taking attention away from the crash into the solid surface.
6.(5)coupled with the name "Hole" causes misunderstandings.
7.I doubt that black holes give off light. Not because their gravitational pull is so strong, but because they aren't burning anymore.
8. They are also likely to be encased in a cloud of discharge that exists outside of their "Event Horizon".
9. Many if not most if not all of these statements are ridiculous. The writer is stupid.

I think it's pretty obvious why I don't respect the opinion of those that criticized this question when I originally asked it 30 minutes ago. They clearly just wanted to insult and offend me. That's not surprising. Bitterness and pain cause people to be hateful and offensive.

Well it seems to me that #1 and #9 are untrue.
#1 Black holes are potent things not to be approached in any way.
#9 No comment that gets people thinking is wasted.
Therefore the asker is not stupid. He had to have quite a bit of learning to even phrase the sentences.
This really stirred up my gray matter. I hadn't thought about black holes for about 20 years. My son did a report on black holes in the 12th grade and I helped him locate information. I made him do the work, just showed him how to find resources. And I proofread his work. We didn't have the internet at home back then!!!!
Black holes are accepted by the majority of astronomers/scientists to have incredible gravitational forces that draw all objects into them. Recently they have been observed stripping gases off neighboring stars which flares up and then the black hole is black again. I remember something about the Hubble being used to observe black holes. It was more of the same thinking from what was visible.

1. I think they are far more radical than we can imagine.
2.It IS a star that has collapsed on itself, but it then suck in millions more stars and become more than just the single star that collapsed
3. is True
4. Objects are not crushed. They are stretched to the extreme as they are pulled into a black hole.
5. there is no "crash into the surface. Anything entering a black hole is stretched to the molecular level, so there is no crash, and I doubt that there is a solid surface as well.
6. Hole could be what it is. It may suck in matter from our universe, but it may also spit that matter out somewhere else in another galaxy, so that would make it a hole of some kind. We have a lot to learn on this subject and no way to prove anything.
7. I don't doubt. I know that black hole don't give off light.
8. This is a recent theory. But even that cloud would eventually be pulled in, and replaced by more debris or dust.
9. Some of them are ridiculous, some are speculation. We really have no way of knowing the truth about black holes. We can calculate as much as we want, but until we send something out to study one we can only guess at what really happens around or inside one.

I can't say which is more true than the other (aside from the obvious one saying that you're stupid), but I think a black hole is a star that has collapsed in on itself and it's really nothing more than an extreme point of gravitational pull. The gravity is so dense that it even sucks light into it and completely destroys anything close to it.
Furthermore, I think that black holes are still existent in theory only. If they do exist, I don't want to get close enough to one to find out. :S *lol*

Seems 2 and 3 are truest. Certainly they cannot give off light if they are burned out - but they should still be bale to reflect light. no? the reason that they do not is because of the gravitational pull exerted by them....not even light can escape it. This is why they are theorized to exist - we can look out into space and see where light changes a behavior pattern that is known, and the only thing that can explain this would be thhe existence of a black hole.
And screw what other people think.

well 1st off i'd say 9 is untrue .. most of what you say is accepted by the scientific community as at least solid theory if not proven fact. i dont understand #8 at all.... i never heard of #7 ..but i could certaily "buy" that thought. . because ive heard [ on nova .. in reguards to string theory and parralle univerces ] that you can enter a black hole i'd have to dispute #4 and the last part of #3.. i dont know if anyone knows what would happen if you entered a black hole[ distroyed, pass through a worm hole etc...???] and #1..they are pretty radical... but thats subjective , no?.. 2,3 6,7 most valid points! how i do ?

i'm no longer an atheist, yet i hit upon this to be actual specially. each guy or woman who questions or starts to question their beliefs has began doing learn & asking questions usu. interior the range of gaining understanding of about distinct religions. with a view to be an atheist you could favor to appreciate why you're an atheist. Alot of Christians are Christians, yet do no longer understand why.. they purely blindly believe what they're suggested & they suspect so blindly and passionately that they label actual all and distinctive who does no longer believe as blindly as they do and "atheist", and then condemn them to hell. i change into raised a Christian, yet I continuously had questions at the same time as i change into youthful. i change into silenced or suggested that i change into blaspheming if i theory something that did not bypass alongside with the Christian doctrine. and then i began to substantiate & learn for myself and.....i visit't believe how deaf, dumb, & blind some human beings could be.
