They show nothing but hatred towards other faiths. I am +ve that this is against the teaching of Jesus Christ. I'd like to think that a true Christian would be more humble and patient, but not these Christians here... Prove me wrong.

Do not slandering/Curse other's false GOD so they won't curse/slander your true GOD

Most Christians don't hate people that practice other faiths.

and homosexuality IS wrong. The bible specifically forbids it. But you love the sinner and hate the sin.

I am a Christian . . .

All Christians are hypocrites.

Let me explain.

People who are not Christians may or may not be hypocrites. They can adopt a standard for behavior and belief entirely consistent with their lifestyle. Christians cannot.

In Matt 5:48 Christ issued this imperative to all who would be His followers: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

YIKES! Anybody know any perfect Christians?

NEWS FLASH!! There aren't any. Thus, all Christians are hypocrites. It's an integral aspect of our faith.

BUT . . . Christians are walking a narrow path, forsaking the "old man" and constantly "putting on Christ".

People who are not Christians don't have to conform to any standard better than what they are. This is called "The Broad Road that leads to destruction".

Christians on the narrow path are walking into the light, leaving more and more darkness behind us until the day we die.

When we cross our Jordan, we will be washed clean.

Speaking of crossing rivers, consider what happened to Pharoah and his army.

That's what happens to people who didn't "apply the blood".

>>>They show nothing but hatred towards other faiths.<<<

Can you actually list any examples of Christians on this site, such as me for instance, showing hatred toward other faiths?

You can't. Because nobody on here is writing anything about HATING other faiths.

Just because we believe in our own religion while not believing others, doesn't mean we HATE them, for Pete's sake!

>>>I'd like to think that a true Christian would be more humble and patient, but not these Christians here... Prove me wrong<<<

What would it take for us to be, in your mind, more "humble and patient"?

Seems to me that you won't be satisfied on either of those scores, unless we abandon our faith and come around to a way of thinking that's more in agreement with yours.

Your approach here is the classic leftist/secularist mentality -- "disagree with me, and it means you are intolerant and full of hate."

Which makes me wonder who the real intolerant and hate-filled one is, here.

After all, you are the one lobbing broad, sweeping allegations against Christians without any evidence or examples to back them up.

Is your attitude toward us formed out of fact, or merely blind prejudice? Seems to me it's the latter.

I beg to differ, I have found some of the people on this site very refreshing. And I for one have never shown hatred, nor have I ever slandered another person's religion. I have stated my beliefs and offered prayer. God Bless You.

I haven't seen much hating come from Christians here, but I have seen a lot directed at them.

I reject out of hand any faith that denies what I have come to know as the plainly evident truth. Does that I mean I hate someone?

I need not believe you to love you, and if I do not bellieve you will you have the capacity to love me anyway?

To the christian, there is one God & one faith. That is to trust & obey God. Who God is revealed as in the bible.

In Revelations, Jesus says that He hates the other doctrines sneaking into His churches. So as Christians, we hate other doctrines or false doctrines. False doctrines add to, change, or take away from what God actually said or revealed to the prophets of God.

The fathers of false doctrines are false prophets. God doesn't take kindly to them. The first into the lake of fire is the beast & false prophet.

The best thing for a christian to do is to shine God's light in all the dark corners. The false prophets & their inspirational diety is going down. I say that in the name of the Jesus Christ my Lord. Because they are. God's Word is everlasting. The lies are getting fried.

I'm a little worried that you already believe that enough that you can't be proved wrong. You're right, there are a lot of people on this board who do not practice what they preach (I suppose we all fall short of our beliefs and ethics at some time or another). But there are a lot of folks out there who are 99% of the time, decent and respectful. Keep your eyes, peeled, and you'll see them. (Even on this board).

Best Wishes.

Jesus said that by their love people would know his true followers (John 13:35). He also said that the two greatest commandments were to love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind, and to love you neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40) Many today claim to be Christian, but do not follow the two greatest commandments that Jesus himself gave.

The best way to not be a hypocrite is to follow your path the best you can and KEEP QUIET about it. When folks spend their energy preaching to others they usually lose track of their own way. It's not just Christians, but they seem to have a higher visibility about it.
