Get some round french bread and slice it down the middle. Mix some garlic salt with butter. It is a small amount but you might want to season for taste. Some people like more, some people like less. If you are very ambitious you can mince the garlic yourself, and then mix it with butter or margarine and add salt for taste.
Preheat an oven between 350 to 400 degrees.
Spread the garlic butter onto the bread and place the bread into the preheated oven for about 7 to 10 minutes.
Ovens vary in there temperature output so you actually do need to experiment.
Good luck

I figure you don't mean to make the bread from scratch.
Delicious garlic bread, made with a loaf of French bread and fresh garlic.

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
2 large cloves fresh garlic, crushed and minced finely

Here's a very easy recipe for garlic bread..it serves 8.
INGREDIENTS:
3 bulbs garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
1-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Slice the tops off of the garlic bulbs so that the tip of each clove is exposed. Place the bulbs on a baking sheet, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 30 minutes, or until garlic is soft.
2-Set the oven to broil. Slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally, and place cut side up on a baking sheet.
Squeeze the cloves of garlic from their skins into a medium bowl. Stir in the butter, parsley, and Parmesan cheese until well blended. Spread onto the cut sides of the bread.
3-Broil for about 5 minutes, until toasted.

UNBELIEVABLE GARLIC BREAD

Cut French bread in half, lengthwise. Toast lightly. Spread cheese on French bread. Broil in oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Here is my little recipe:

Take bread sliced thickly, like a baguette, and crisp in oven very quickly, approx. 5 minutes on 350 degrees, on it's side, and flip halfway through. At the same time, sautee finely chopped garlic in vegetable oil, NOT butter (garlic cooks very quickly, be careful). Then sprinkle the garlic over the bread slices, covered in mozarella, and cook at about 350 for 5 minutes again. I hope that this worked, and that I helped!

Slice french bread lengthwise. In a small bowl, mix up chopped fresh garlic and margarine (I use Smartbalance--butter will burn), and if ya want to get fancy, sprinkle in some parmesan cheese
On both sides, spread the garlic mixture. Don't be afraid of the garlic--use lots of it....Put these bread side down (not the buttery-mixture side, the other side, duh!) on a cookie sheet and crisp them up in a 350 degree preheated oven. Usually about 10 min, give or take a few min. MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm garlicccky goodness!

Take a loaf of hearty Italian or French bread, and spread on the following mixture: 1 stick softened butter (not margarine) mixed with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, 2 cloves crushed garlic, salt, pepper, basil & oregano. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or so.
