Great matchup! I think it would be a tactical fight. I don't see Tunney letting Holyfield get off some of those 4 and 5 punch combinations he throws and both were excellent counterpunchers, they would wait for the other to make a mistake. I think Tunney fights a defensive fight using his jab and outpoints Holyfield on 2 judges scorecards to win a split decision.

Tough call, but I would pick Tunney over Holyfield. Holyfield had heart, but Tunney was a brilliant ring tactician with just as much heart. Both were light heavyweight champions as well so it's an interesting match up.

I'd pick Evander Holyfield on this one. He's got the biggest heart in boxing. Both are very skilled boxers but Holyfield's got the advantage since he's got better reach and ability to absorb punishment. The longer the match goes, the better it is for Holyfield. Holyfield hands down.

Evander would win, they are both known for their conditioning and Gene Tunney displayed amazing courage during the Harry Greb fight where he was fragrantly fouled but I still go for Evander. I think Evander would take to him and beat the **** out of him. I don't think you should win fights running backwards.

Tunney was an animal. Holyfield would first get his brains beat in. Tunney wins in a KO early.
