it is fun and games...i don't know how much fun it is when compared to public schools as i never attended a public school here...it was in some other country where the schooling system is different...and coming back to the topic, it's fun, but be prepared to work hard and make ur way through...

High school is harder than college. Work hard in high school and college will be a breeze. It can be fun and games if you choose not to work hard, but you'll pay for it later. Do the work now and you'll have it easier later on.
Watch out for upperclassmen, because generally speaking they hate the "little freshman", and trust me, when you're a senior you'll fully understand why. Just stay outta their way for awhile and you'll be okay.
Don't worry too much about high school though, you'll feel at home there in only a week or two.

Depends on your personality and phisical condition... If you have a loser atitude and have good grades they will label you as a geek... but if you are truly smart and cunning they will not label you as a loser. you see I have good grades and I have a relatively good reputation; it's all about the atitude... if someone makes fun of you, be a good sport and return the favor, but not in a very aggresive way; if you encounter idiots , then don't even bother about them, they will leave you alon if you don't look ofended by their actions. If you are good at sports you may find socila life easy, as you will integrate in a group quite easily.
Watch out for the teacher's behavior and try to do as they please... you will have less to learn at the useless clases this way... try to bond in the early period of 9th grade... that is the crucial point, others friends will come along the way
Just be yourself and everithing will be ok :)

It's not as scary as you may think. The teachers expect more from you and will probably assign more writting and reading. Be seriously involved in 1 or 2 clubs and possibly a sport. If you are planning on going to college, this will really help with your application. Freshman and Sophomore year are not that serious, Junior year is when you should REALLY start taking things seriously...however, keep your grades up in EVERY grade.

It's not all fun and games, no. Study hard, keep yourself focused for the future.. BUT don't deny yourself the joy that can be had by getting involved in teams/activities. Remember the priority is to learn, but you have to get involved too. Make some memories, make some good friends that could last forever!

You shouldn't worry. Highschool is no problem...Don't fall into the wrong croud. Just stay positive and don't act like a fool. No worries, people just don't beat you up,ususally you have to earn that. Do you homework, but I never really get homework in highschool...I don't know about where you live.
Please don't fall in the wrong croud, sorry if I sound like your mother(I am 17). But drugs, sex, etc isn't the answer.
School all in all is quite alright. not really difficult. So just pay atenttion in class and don't be a smart aleck and you will do just fine.
PS: Don't get intimidated by the people that are bigger than you. They are nice...me for example(I ma in grade12)
Have a nice day and a wonderfull life.
God Bless you^_^

Your freshman year will more than likely be your hardest year. The upperclassmen can be a pain in the ***. Also, the teachers are alot harder on the freshman than any other class. Be prepared for lots of homework and projects. If you haven't read Romeo and Juliet yet, you gotta have that done by the end of your freshman year. Hope that helps ya out! I've already been there and done that!

Smile and make friends. Don't get beat up. Try to join the track team, football team and other sports. You'll need to study hard to get good grades too.
