did? I hear people say God hates this, God hates that. When Jesus said God is love and forgiveness. I hear a lot of people saying things about others, in my view to justify their own hatred. Love each other, Live in peace. Help those who wish you ill. Love and care for one another. The world would be so much better if we stopped talking about Jesus and just follow his example

It would be impossible to do what Jesus did without the power of the Holy Spirit. He came and lived on earth to prove the system that Christians are to use in daily life would work. He did it and unfortunately Christians ignore it. If they didn't ignore it then there wouldn't be nearly as much hatred for Christians as there is today. The vast majority of Christians don't even know this power exists and that it is available to them. Simply because they are too self centered to seek knowledge of it or they are conned into believing other things before they get a chance to learn the truth. Honestly with the way most of us Christians live I cannot blame atheists and others for hating us.

I agree with you. I'm a Christian. Here's a little something the Holy Spirit gave me:

Spread Your Love by Cal Jennings

Ki, Chi, The Source, The Force
Are just different names for God.
It's really very simple,
But to you it may seem odd.

It's through the Holy Spirit
That God spreads Jesus love.
So evr'yone let's all join hands
And spread peace from above.

The world is fille with hatred and war,
Greed, lust, violence, and sin.
We've got to fight a spiritual war
That first comes from within.

So if you call God Allah,
Buddah, Krishna, or Id,
It's time to come together in peace.
It's about time that we did.

Refrain:

spread your love throughout the world.
Let your light shine bright.
It's time to break the darkness
And turn on our inner light.

I do think it is nice that you are not hateful toward Jesus. However, if you don't believe he is who he says he is....then wouldn't you think he was nuts? I mean this man goes around saying he is the Son of God. He says he is divine. He says no one comes to the Father except through me. You cannot follow his example and not be a Christian. He was not simply a teacher. As C. S. Lewis said, forgive me for not quoting exactly, he is either a liar, crazy or the Son of God. Which do you say he is?

Exactly. Problem is, people are taught in some churches that evil has to be gotten rid of before we can smile and love. It's retarded, but some people are taught that you have to scare people into not sinning, instead of offering them a relationship with Christ. Jesus will take care of what they're doing, if we'll just take care of what WE'RE doing. Have you thought about becoming a Christian? If you have any questions, the United Methodist Church is a great place to try.

Amen!!!

You are sure on the right track for a non christian. I have often said the same thing. All Jesus ever taught was love and kindness. We as a people need to practice more of this.

God Bless You.

You are correct, in your assertion that Jesus was a good role model, but not divine as Christian heathens apply the word. Follow the example of the Prophet and live a long life.

God doesn't expect you to be able to do and live as Jesus did, God just asks you to try living and doing as Jesus did. That is why Jesus was sent to earth to begin with. To guide us and lead by example. And God gave up his only son to be sacrificed to prove his love for us and so that we can be forgiven for our sins. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness and be faithful to God. Is that asking too much???

Because Jesus was a fairy tale. His personna was invented using several beings.
Changing water into wine, drinking blood, turning lead to gold are older than Jesus.
You don't have the vision to see through history and filter out all the BS that THEY want you to believe.
Who wrote the bible? More importantly who re-wrote the bible?
What were their motivations.
Jesus = Control

Of course it would. But unfortunately it's life. It's easy for a person to look at anothers views and see it as bull. Christian or non alike. It's okay for someone to disagree with someone. But not use force to do it. If we only didn't answer those other people who are so angry. It's fuel to the fire. But we don't. We defend our beliefs.

Jesus is the best role model. So, if you intend to enulate Jesus, why not simple become Christian?
