Though this could be attributed to stress or aggrivation, I wouldn't worry about it. ;) It'll only cause more stress.
Gray hair isn't unnatural at 37. Some people are totally gray before they reach that age... not to say that you'll go gray anytime soon. It's natural. And it's usually a slow process. The lighter your hair is, the more subtle the gray will be anyways. If you're worried, then maybe you could ask the doctor or hair dresser about it next time you see them. It'll be a long while before it becomes noticable though, so don't stress about it. Besides, what's wrong with gray? Everybody gets there eventually.

A gray hair is actually a hair that has lost its pigment. Generally, this is due to aging, but other things can cause hair to become prematurely gray, such as an emotional shock, poor nutrition, illness, certain medications and undue stress. With your light hair, the grays won't be as noticeable as with dark hair. And the old saying that pulling out a gray hair will cause two more to grow in its place, is just an old wives' tale. You only have one hair follicle, so two will not grow if you pull out one gray hair. It just seems like once you spot the little devils, they just keep on making an appearance. Gray hair can be quite attractive on some people, depending on how it grows in and whether it's compatible with skin tones. Salt and pepper gray is interesting, and silvery, shiny gray is beautiful.

Gray hair is a genetic trait passed on by your parents. However, I hardly think that 8 gray hairs at 37 constitutes "premature" anything. I'm 27 and I have 6. Be proud! In the bible it says that gray hair is a crown of wisdom!

First of all.......if your just turning 37 and its your first gray.....stop stressing! I am 37 and have many, all along where I love to party my hair...typical! I do believe that yes gray hairs can be brought on by stress....but in the same breath...........37 isnt that bad for starting to go gray. I have friends younger than me that need to colour their hair at least once a month because they have so much gray...so dont feel to bad. One of my friends who's 35 is very gray and also going very thin....things could be worse dont you think?! L.Butler

Booooooooo Hoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! You're all of 37 and your daughter paws through your hair like a chimp and finds a total of 8 gray hairs. Get over yourself!!!!!!!!! If not stress, then age will do it. Be at peace or when you're 80 years old with a wrinkled face, you'll still be dyeing your hair and fooling only yourself.

Gray hair is caused by genetics. Stress does not cause the folical to lose color. We all go through it. Just be happy you 37 when it happened.
