Book: Charms Spells & Formulas -- Ray T. Malbrough

Is ammonia healthy for the skin and body? I thought it definetly wasn't...but this books says::
"Fill the bathtub half full with warm water. To this water, add one tablespoon each of Blessed Sea Salt and clear household ammonia".

This didn't sound right to me. I thought ammonia was bad for you?

you get ammonia in your eye and you'll be thinkin' something evil for damn sure!
Not to mention breathing in the fumes--although 1 tablespoon isnt "a whole lot", depending on the person, it could be enough to harm them irreparably.

Don't do it--instead walk backwards in a circle taking care to step in the same footsteps, to the count of 30. Then sit in the circle you've made with your steps and think about what kind of question you just asked.

Um, there are a lot of more pleasant cleansers that aren't poisonous.

Salt is a good start. Among the herbs are basil, rosemary, mints, and lavender. If you feel you must stink to feel spiritually clean and protected, garlic is classic for cleansing. You might also light incense or candles in the bathroom that have these scents.

Hope this helps.

It is. Try sprinkling Holy Water on your forehead instead, and I would avoid messing with spells until you're far more experienced in your spiritual teachings.
