i got my pulled yesterday morning. it defnatly sucks ***. the night before i ate a big meal because you cant eat anything 6 hours before so you can forget all the ppl who are saying to eat before. just make sure to eat a nice dinner the night before. also go get some ice cream, chocolate pudding, and lots of jello and some oatmeal and rent some movies. your gonna be in pain and your face is gonna be a balloon haha like mine right now! but at least youll be busy and just stay home the next couple days. they might perscribe you some vicoden but that just gave me really bad stomach pains. but i dont kno if it will have any affect on you. it will be over before you kno it tho. on the plus side! iv lost some weight because of it and my friend had hers pulled and lost something like 15 to 20 pounds.

If you have no underlying medical problems, take 600-800 mg ibuprofen gel capsules about an hour or so before you leave for the appointment. If you are having general anesthesia, consult with the surgeon before you do this. Most would allow it if you use a minimum amount of water to swallow the capsules. Otherwise, read the excellent advice given by most respondents before me.

Been there and had to do that... The best thing to do is go ahead and get them reomved... You will definately feel better after all is said and done. Make sure that you have hydrogen peroxide to rince your mouth with after you get home. There is nothing you can do before hand because you need to go in on an empty stomach and since they will probably be drugging you, you can't take any meds.

Any time you have dental work -- eat a good high protein meal beforehand (unless they say no food). It's good you are getting all 4 out -- you won't have to do it again!
