I under stand that atheisit hate christians cause we come to your door and bother you with our teachings.

Why do you have to bash it so much though?

Since majority of people in prison are black and black people commit most crimes....I should hate all black people then?

Let them bash away. They hate our teachings and they come from Christ. So do as the Lord commands and rejoice when they revile you.... Jim

Everyone, every human tends to think that he/she or it is better than the other, if there are no major differentiators, then we build one to prove we are better, and to rally support, we use the most base emotion - hate.

As far as a majority of the prison inmates be in black is concerned, I don't think that this is a correct statement, I think that whites get away with it cause of (1) Racism in your country, which I presume is the US (2) Whites can afford to hire smarter lawyers who find technical loopholes to get their clients out (3) Many of the 'crimes' committed by the blacks are done cause they did not perceive that they were doing wrong in the first place.

And no you should never hate anybody, however different they are from you.

Atheists don't hate Christians. They dislike the tactics Christians use to try to convert them and feel Christians are not opening their minds to outside ideas. Atheists are often not respected by people with other religious beliefs, so they get a little irritated (this happens to everyone, regardless of religious belief.)

People who "bash" others hate themselves.

And you can't question this logic - "If you hate their ways, but dont hate all christians.........how does that work?" because that is the response Christians give all the time - hate the sin, not the sinner. You should ask them how that works.

You started off incorrect, and then it just got worse from there. I don't hate christians because they come to my door. That's just annoying, not hate-inspiring. Actually it's the actions I hate, not the people themselves. Unless they're currently wishing eternal torture on me. Give me one good reason *not* to hate someone that takes glee in the delusion that they get to see me tortured forever? But I digress. What I actually hate is the way it holds back progress. The way I am forced to live by many of the more arbitrary "laws" of a religion that I don't particularly care for. That's what I hate.

I don't hate any particular christian however I do not like having their theology presented in such a way that it is intolerable, rude and excessive. In my home, I should not have to be preached to by anyone no less a stranger whom does not even know me. I find that to be rude and disrespectful.

Luckily that does not happen that often.. I tend to own big dogs.

Here's a list of religions, listed as a percentage of the US federal prison population (1997):

The Federal Bureau of Prisons does have statistics on religious affiliations of inmates. The following are total number of inmates per religion category:

Response %
---------------------------- --------
Catholic    39.164%
Protestant    35.008%
Muslim    7.273%
American Indian    3.222%
Nation    2.320%
Rasta    1.987%
Jewish     1.773%
Church of Christ     1.744%
Pentecostal     1.463%
Moorish     1.426%
Buddhis     1.180%
Jehovah Witness     0.890%
Adventist     0.831%
Orthodox     0.502%
Mormon     0.399%
Scientology     0.254%
ATHEIST     0.209%
Hindu     0.159%
Santeria     0.157%
Sikh     0.019%
Bahai     0.012%
Krishna     0.009%

Hmmm... note that the Judeo-Christian Total works out to 83.761%. Not an unexpected result.

Note that ATHEISTS, being a moderate proportion of the USA population (about 8 - 16%) are disproportionately LESS in the prison populations (0.21%).

Pretty odd result, for a group that has no god-given guiding moral principals, huh?

Non-believers do not hate Christians. Chances are most atheists and agnostics actually love a Christian or two, or a Jew or two, or a Muslim or two, etc. I am one such person.

I don't hate Christians because some christians come to my door looking to convert me.

I also don't hate christians because they are christians.

I hate those christians that are attempting to change the laws in this country to conform to their dogmas, and oppress scientific knowledge and research because it may offend their sky-pixxie.

Love the deluded, hate the delusion.
