not to be gross, nut because by then, their wives vaginas r probably wrinkly, hairy, and stinky. the guys ignored the smell berfore, but now their wives r completely unappealing. also, young wives r more likely to "go down" on their husbands than older wives, so the young husbands did it as a reward or incentive for the women to give them head.
