Muscle is heavier than fat & if you have been to the gym more regularly than before maybe you have built up muscle or toned up what was there before.
Persevere. The long term results will be worth it.

I have been through this. Only after 4 weeks of exercising and watching my diet I had not lost even one pound. I asked others who have lost weight and it seems to be a common response to say "you're gaining muscle". In your case, two weeks is most likely not enough time to gain. Here's a POTENTIAL CHECKLIST of things to ask yourself:
1. Is it my time of month? Could I be retaining water?
2. Am I really truly honestly cutting out the calories? Or am I snacking here/there on weekends, special occasions that happen too often?
3. If so, have I cut out too many? Does my body think I'm starving? Would a nutritionist be able to help?
4. If I counted up my intake of calories and my TRUE output of energy exerted on exercises/aerobic activity, DOES THE DIFFERENCE COME TO 3500+ CALORIES? If not, then I am not expending more than I take in and I will not lose weight.
5. How much exercise am I doing? Am I pushing myself? Can I feel the next day or two that I exercised, or am I coasting through and doing the average?
(I don't mean to suggest you should be so sore you can't move, but you should feel some soreness.)
6. Do others think I've lost weight? I had my boyfriend and coworkers say they could tell in my face and sides, but I could not see it for the life of me. And the scale stayed the same every day.

Are you only lifting weights or are you exercising (cardio) as well? To lose weight you need to incorporate both to your lifestyle. Even if you aren't losing weight you should notice a difference in how your clothes feel. Two weeks is great, but you need to make it a lifestyle change and not expect a weight-loss right away. If exercising makes you feel good then that should be enough reward in itself. If it doesn't and it feels like a chore...try something different.
At age 28/29 I started jogging. I never ran anything in my whole life and it turns out it was the "right" exercise for me. There might be a different type of exercise that fits your lifestyle that you love and wont leave you questioning "how come I haven't lost weight", you'll just do it because its fun and you can't wait to do it again (in the process you'll lose weight and feel great). The trick is to find that thing that you love doing.

Two weeks is nothing! On a health kick, I've lost about twenty pounds in nine weeks, and feel great for it. And though you THINK you are dieting, are you really limiting the calories you are taking in? A strict diet will bring about fat metabolism which is very inefficient and slow-burning, so expect to feel miserable and sluggish, and not like going to the gym! Eat fresh fruit and veg as snacks, run, swim or cycle, or all three, keep busy everyday, and you'll get there.

Because you're building muscle right now. The muscle you're adding weighs more than the fat you're losing. Once you've put on a good chunk of muscle, it'll kick-start your metabolism into burning more fat, and the scales will start heading down. Don't let the stability discourage you! What you can do to help with this, is start taking photos of yourself once a month or once every two weeks so you can compare yourself and see where the differences are. It really helps, because you can't always see it in the mirror. Good luck!

1) 2 weeks is too short a time.
2) If your diet is too extreme the body goes into starvation mode, turning down the metabolism. Upping calorie intake a little would then help.
3) Eat lots of fibre. This will reduce any blood sugar highs and lows.

Make sure you run, run like there is no tommorow. Keep doing weights. Keep at it: I was at 244 and after a year I'm down to 204 - BUT - now I have visible muscle in my back, chest, arms, and just last week I was startled by my gf: she said she could feel muscles in my stomach.
The first few months it's the hardest. You keep looking for progress but you don't see it. Have someone else tell you. Take a picture, don't think about it, two months from now compare. Keep at it, you'll be fine.

quite often your body takes a while to adjust to a new regime & will hold onto /store fat in case of emergencies ! Once your body realises this is the 'new life' then it will start to 'let go' some of the stored fat.
but i would also suggest, to cut back rather than cut out all fatty foods, as you need some fat, but by having a little bit you will not have the cravings so much. everything in moderatin !

Hmm... do you feel any thinner? Are your clothes looser?
Maybe the extra fluids have caused water weight gain, if so, don't worry, it will drop off soon. Don't give up. I am sure you will see results soon. Maybe if you put the scale away for a set period of time (like 2-3 weeks) and try really hard on your diet and exercise, then weigh yourself, it would be better.

2 weeks is an unrealistic period of time to expect drastic changes in your body. Usually, you will not experience any noticable results until after the 3-4 week of exercise and healthy eating. Focus more on creating the habits that will produce results than on the results themselves. You will enjoy your results more when you're focused more on the habits of exercise, eating, and supplementation than you are on yourself. Create the habits and the results will come.

it took you years to gain it and u expect to lose it in 2 weeks. give me a break! It takes times, it's not that easy. The only way to start losing weight very fast is to stop eating for a few days and that's not healthy. keep going, you're doing fine, just be patient
