That's why John Lennon says "imagine there's no religion, it isn't hard to do."

No of course not, just start to study the subject and you will know better, much better. Most of the religion has many things in common to begin with. They have taken parts form one an other and mixed it into a "new" religion. Religion is a mixture of philosophy and a God who is said to have been given information to chosen (holy) persons, who should bring the message to the people and frighten them into subduing and the subjugators could have some benefit from it, I suppose. On the other hand philosophy is an interesting subject.

All of the billions of people before us were confused as well and never got an answer during their lifetimes. Why should we be any different? Just cause we don't burn people at the stake anymore, doesn't mean we've come a long way.

As a Wiccan I hope not. I hope others can look past their prejudices of the past and see that we are not evil-devil worshipers but that we are self-empowered individuals who want to make the world a better place for everyone regardless of race, creed, religion, or sexual preference. We don't' want to convert the world but we would like to be accepted within it.

Probably, because religion is such a complex thing. And many of the things are (in my opinion) made up by society, but we're told that they're made up by God. I just say screw religion and worship God in your own way.

The only thing stopping us from being confused is doubt, and our ability to reason with ourselves over everythingg. I think its a general statement to say everyone would be CONFUSED. some people arent confused, just more, scared? its hard to explain.
