you need to see a doctor, but do not worry. If you know you cannot be pregnant, there are a lot of women that do not get their period as regularly as every month. Things like endometriosis could affect it. Or your weight. If you are too thin, your body will sort of shut down in that department. If you just got your period for the first time in the past year, it is not unusual for it to not be regular yet. But you still should see a doctor. The official word for not getting your period is ammenorhia, but I'm not sure on the spelling.
Good luck and take care!

If you've lost weight recently, that might be the cause. Your body needs a certain amount of body fat to have a period. Also birth control pills can affect your period as well. For short term, take a pregnancy test. Clearblue or EPT are the best ones. For long term, talk to your doctor. Don't wait to take the test though, because pregnancy symptoms can vary from woman to woman and you could end up not having a clue until you're six months along!(My mother's case with me.)

There are lots of reasons for a female's period to stop.
A poor diet
Too much weight loss
Stress
Pregnancy
Get a test first or go to a doctor and find out if you are pregnant. If not then try and see if another on the list might be the reason.

if you are not pregnant you could have other health issues that are causing you not to have a period
polycystic ovarian syndrome
endometriosis
menopause or early menopause
I would get it check out by a gynocologist to rule any other health problems out.
