hope the pie has a nice flaky pastry crust, but you could have creamy mash made with best butter, warm milk s&p ans an egg yolk mashed through. then you could have glazed butter carrots garnished with parsley and a mixture of peas and sweetcorn, but only use other people sweetpeas in a vase to decorate you table. enjoy!

Boiled new potatoes, and a mix of sweetcorn and peas.

If you wish to move towards haute cuisine, serve the pie on a bed of creamed mashed potatoes, cooked with grated celeriac. Surround the bed with sauteed beetroot tops, and garnish the top of the pie with fried courgette slices.

You could also serve it gratineed with finely chopped leeks.

For Christs' sake, DON'T EAT SWEET PEAS - you'll poison yourself. I suppose they mean GREEN peas because they tend to be bit on the sweet tasting side.

Neither you idiot. They both suck a** as does the goddamn pie! It has to be mashed potatoes and cheese (non-specific).
Chicken and wine pie is better.
