Mechanized Infantry is a type of unit not a job. A Mechanized Infantry unit uses armored personnel carriers such as Bradley's to move Infantryman over large distances. The Infantyman in these units are normal Infantry.

I just asked my husband who at one time was 11M which is being on the Bradley, so in sorts yes there's a job known as mechanized infantry.

Qualifications would be, pass the ASVAB, be in the right height and weight to join the Army.

I believe that several years ago, the mechanized infantry and the anti armor infantry were combined into the same MOS.. 11B..

the link above is an article explaning when this was going to happen and which specialties were being combined. As for qualifications, you will have to check with your recruiter for that info. Below you will find a definition of mechanized infantry. Good Luck!
Mechanized infantry are infantry equipped with armored personnel carriers (APCs), or infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) for transport and combat (see also mechanized force).

They are distinguished from motorized infantry in that their vehicles provide a degree of protection from hostile fire, as opposed to "soft-skinned" trucks or jeeps. Their support weapons are also provided with motorized transport, or are built directly into combat vehicles, in order to keep pace with the mechanized infantry in combat. For units equipped with most types of APC or any type of IFV, fire support weapons such as machine guns, autocannons, or small-bore direct-fire howitzers are often mounted directly on the infantry's own transport vehicles.

Tnere's no such job as Mechanized Infantry. This refers to the type of infantry unit. Mechanized means just that...the vehicles are mechanized...APCs, etc

The U.S. military found the best method of attack was a mix of infatry and armored equipment rather than one or the other. The job of the infarty is ride in Bradleys and then spread out to clear obsticals such as anti-tanki mines, kill guys with anti-tank weapons, use anti tank weapons against opposing armor ect.
