Very few people have actually read the bible so your question is asserting facts not in existence.

Churches are social clubs that would exist regardless what was taught. The bible is a book that would never be sold if churches did not use it as a text book.

bible has NO philosophical strengths. cannot be philosophical and believe in god. there is no logic in the bible and one who claims that the bible is full of philosophical strength is an idiot. the bible TELLS you how to think, what to believe etc. philosophy is the practice of questioning until truth is found. truth cannot be obtained from a book that orders you to act and behave a certain way.

Hmm. Interesting straw man. You set up a fake argument that nobody makes just to shoot it down. Where are all these people who say that the bible has no philosophical strength? Actually most people would argue that it's NOT LITERALLY TRUE, but that it's a great set of parables.

A belief in the Lord is faith-based. It has nothing to do with philosophy. The Bible is the Word of the Lord. I am not "attracted" to the Bible. I read it to seek the truth in Christ. I read it because it gives guidelines for living the life that God has chosen for us. I read it because I want to get to know the Lord better and to fully understand the history of my descendants.

BIBLE sure has Philo strength. Why people get attracted ... now that's a different question. Most of them because they are born under that Faith and Some because they practise it and found solace in it and some because they can relate to it. I don;t know many people who was born under a diffrent faith and got attracted to Christianity due to the Bible.

People get attracted to the Bible (Basic instruction before leaving earth) because Jesus is the way to go if you get into the word it builds up your faith! There is another way to think about it though. If there ends up being no heaven then your still alright. If there is a heaven your sill alright. Wouldn't you feel better having a 100% chance of being OK instead of just 50%!!!!!!!

They're not looking for philosophy, they're looking for eternal life.

Keep in mind these people enjoy being likened to sheep and what endearing qualities do sheep have? They will follow without question. That's not the earmark of someone interested in philosophy.

Philosophy is man's attempt to explain God. The Bible never attempts to explain God nor does it attempt to prove God's existence. The Bible accepts God as he is because the Bible is God's word, and therefore does not need to be explained or proved.

There once was a lady in an art museum. She was looking at the Mona Lisa. She says out loud, I don't think it such a great picture, I think its dull. The man next to her looking at the portrait says to her. My dear the art work is not in question, but you are. this portrait has been proven through out the ages to be a masterpiece. If you don't see its beauty then you are the one in question!
