Washing your hair every day actually makes it more oily. You kind of just have to deal with it and wash it every other or every few days and wear it in some way that will disquise how oily it looks. You can also look for shampoos designed for oily hair (I really like Pantene ProV). There are any number of products out there for it. Also, don't touch your hair after you wash it with your hands. That makes it even oiler and speeds up the process of your hair looking all sorts of scuzzy! Hope that helped some!

Pretty much you have to let your hair get used to it. After about a week of only washing your hair every other day, it'll stop looking so oily. A solution to the greasy look until then is to wet your hairbrush before brushing your hair, and then put it back in a pony tail. It's not nearly as obvious then.

Well first of all in the summer time hair gets much more oily than in the winter time. You should get a shampoo especially for oily hair.

A trick that I do is put some Johnson's baby powder on my roots. It REALLY helps to decrease all sorts of oils.

I think two days will be pushing it. I wash my hair every other day. If I don't, on the second day it gets oily. Just wash your hair less.

One, when you bathe I would condition it first and then shampoo. (okay that sounds weird, but it helps)
Two, try not to touch your hair very much. I mean with your hands, you can brush it (which might help keep the roots from looking oily) but touching with your hands makes it worse.
Three, there are products you can buy, usually in spray form, that help keep it from looking oily, you just spray them on on the day you aren't washing your hair. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they are called... or brand names....

Try a shampoo and conditioner specifically for oily hair (it will say so on the bottle). I know that Clairol makes one in their Renewal 5X line (if you can find that line where you live) that is supposed to work on fine or oily hair (says so on the bottle).

Make sure you are not applying conditioner to close to the scalp. Using conditioner in the scalp will loosen the hair follicle and hair will fall off. When I was younger my scalp was extremely oil, it was suggested to me to wash my hair with Joy (even Tide) dishwashing liquid every now and then, it worked, it reduced the oil dramatically. Hope this works for you !

For some people the secret is on how they use the conditioner. When you are gonna apply conditioner on your hair, make sure you put it on your hair and not on your head. Go from the ends of your hair, up, without applying any on the scalp area. That will help!
