Anyone know of anything fun to shoot at with my .22? i have lots of ammo and nothing to shoot at. Birds around here are either rare or scarce so thats a no go. any ideas?

Fun shoooting with .22's is called "plinking." Soda Cans, soup cans, balloons, a ritz cracker. Are all great for fun plinking. As long as you don't use items like glass that would ruin & trash the environment, go and have fun. Paper plates and Exploding targets ( found in gun stores) will woork as well.
Shoot safe, and use a proper backstop. The birds will clean up the cracker crumbs or raw eggs you shoot.

hi there,the most shooting fun i ever had is very inexpensive to make , take a big chunk of white cardboard and smears some honey on it, place it out 40 feet or so, and shoot the flies and bees that land on it, isee that people like to shoot golf balls, i shot one from 10 feet and woke about 10 minites later with two black eyes and a very sore nose, seems the bullet went in the side , spun the golfball right back at me that was no fun , have fun and be safe.

I like shooting at clay pigeons,
Put some nails in a board and hang them from it.
A golf ball is fun to keep moving-shoot at the bottom of it to kick it up then try to hit again in the air.
If you have a larger gun shoot at a gallon jug of water.
Exploding targets are also fun.

**** the .22! Get a .357 revolver. Now that's a gun. But if you can't do that shoot at jugs of water or balloons. Oh you can also shoot at old CD's.

i know your problem well. the answer is golf balls. they are awesome. you and a couple of friends toss some golf balls out in front of you and start shooting. they will bounce and fly all over the place and every time you shoot them they get a little further away, getting more challenging. its great and inexpensive. you can also get a plinking target at wal mart ,its a target that swings when you hit it.

what i used to do when i was bored was take old .22 shells and line them up on a beam and shoot at them from about 10-20 yards. its entertaining and it really teaches you gun control.

fill some empty soda cans with water and shoot at them from 200-300 yards away. make sure you have a safe backstop.

Squirrels are great animals to hunt with 22's but be sure they are in season.

squirrels, cans, blow up balloons and shoot them, groundhogs, coyotes, crows, targets,
have fun.
balloons are my favorite
