seriously, that's what it seems to say... however, that's IMPOSSIBLE if you look at blood types. If Eve CAME from Adam and they mated, there wouldn't be the different types of blood types today. Evolution is the only thing that makes sense.

Adam and Eve was a direct creation and perfect.
So there off spring would have no inherited defects.
They reproduced for a long time and there was lots of children only a few were recored becasue they did something notable.
As they got away from that perfection, they didn't bred so closely.
Or maybe the reason we have genitic defects is because they bred so closely. Then with Noah, his three sons had wives of all different nationalities. Even though they were counsins genetically they were not close. They were hand picked by god to represent all mankind. Just as he chose what animals went on the ark.

In a given populace, a few contributors will regularly lie external the norm (say three sigma). These contributors will both strain the obstacles defining the populace, both inflicting it to dissolve or to motive the vast majority of the populace to suppress the the minority to preserve the defining obstacles. In both case, clash is inevitable. If we have been to take away every person who did not are compatible into a few arbitrary type, then the bell curve might 'tighten' and features that have been prior appropriate might grow to be insupportable. Example: If Hitler and the Nazi's have been to have succeeded, then probably blond hair that became upfront grey might grow to be insupportable. In the opposite course, if all of us grew to be dramatically extra tolerant, the bell curve might widen and prior features condemned via the bulk might begin to call for social attractiveness. Example: Today, we will see an develop in homosexual rights activism. Would that be taking place if the controversy over premarital intercourse wasn't fading into consent?

a negative reaction to the idea of incest is cultural, and while not a good idea (genetic diversity is a plus) incest is Bad because we say it is bad. Lightning will not strike, etc.
If you and your sister were the last humans alive, would you try to reproduce? eh, whatever.

this is only one, albeit used by three abrahamic faiths, story for creation. No, I don't think it's a "crime."
