I'm just wondering how often teens tan and if they know the health conditions that can be caused by tanning.

I tan very little. Bad for the skin and makes you look older! Can cause cancer. I wear sunblock when I have any skin exposed, for protection! I know how bad it is.... I'm a cosmetologist!

I am a very pale person so i burn very easily. Last year around this time I went to an amusement park and wore SPF 70 I had applied it every half hour and stayed out of the water, when I had gotten home I had a second degree sunburn. Thank goodness none of it caused skin cancer. Also i have all these "freckles" from the blisters popping. I dont like Sun.

I'm not a teen. I'm 23 but I don't tan in tanning beds because I don't want to look 60 when I'm 50. I think it's worth my skin looking good when I'm older than me being tan. Just my own opinion, however!

To me it's dumb. The only time I ever tan is when I'm on vacation to some beach place like Cape Cod, otherwise it's never for me.

But if you saw some of the girls I know you'd think that no one my age knows about the risks of tanning.
