I understand that an email ending in ".com" is routed thro USA and therefore better when travelling world wide

You will not have a problem. My daughter was in America recently and she received emails with .com.au

Yes its fine. Anywhere where u can access the site- www.yahoo.co.uk then u can access ur emails.

Note; some other websites have International blocks on them, which stops u from accessing there site from another country..

However all yahoo sites are ok to use anywhere in the world.

It will be okay. Yahoo is a world wide website, noo matter where you are in the world you can retrieve your emails and send, especially in Australia.

Should be a problem. I have travelled to Europe and part os South America and been able to get to my email without any trouble.

Yes it will be totally fine to access, my girlfriend is from the philippines and I asked her to check some uk websites for me there, they all loaded up fine.
