The Holy Bible says in Matthew 22:36-37-40: Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

It sound to me like you are attempting to be obedient to the Lord your God. That does not mean you are being holier than thou. It means you are trying to put God first in your life like He commands us to.

Blessings to you as you walk in obedience to the Lord with an attitude of humbleness and love.

When we love others, we are putting God first. Who are the "others",.......every single human being God brings into your pathway. Do you have to agree with their life style, no,..but you can show Gods loves by the way you handle adversity, by your attitude, and by putting others needs first,.....yes God must come first. He will reward your work.

My opinion is that I would sooner put my family first. I'm actually quite frightened by what 'putting God first' might mean in practice.

Good for you. Everyone should find peace in their life, regardless of which religion they choose. What works for one person may not work for another, and it would serve everyone well if they remembered this.

Even Jesus praised a Pagan soldier for that soldier's faith, while Jesus was on trial for his life.

It doesn't matter, truly, how we - as human beings - find peace, just as long as we DO find it.

Faith is love, religion is kindness.

It is as worth it as it can be for you, but only for you. The trick is to do it without expecting others to either do the same or even believe.
