The bottoms of my feet and my toes, and my fingers all itch. My thumb swelled up yesterday for no good reason, and my tongue is peeling! Am I having an allergic reaction or what?

I can afford to go to the doctor and all I just didn't want to go and say: My feet itch doctor! Help me! I thought that sounded stupid. But does it sound serious?

The itching may be due to a systemic yeast infection. The thumb swelling might be the same, however, might also be gout. Your tongue is peeling? Is it coated in white? Don't know about the peeling, but if it is white, that is yeast related too.
Start eating yogurt (plain, unsweetened) if you think it is yeast. But get to the doctor anyway.
For basic info on yeast, check out www.hufa.org.

Definitely sounds like an allergic reaction but if your not eating or anything out of the ordinary I would suggest you see a Doctor to determine what you are actually allergic to, under circumstances where you know what you may be allergic to I'd say to take some Benedryl because that's what they have always given my kids for allergic reactions but when you don't even know what you have gotten that could be causing it then you should DEFINITELY see a doc, and the sooner the better. Good luck hon.

Benedryl is a good start. Make sure to read the dosing instructions, if you start taking too much you can have a reaction from that, you don't need another problem. I know that from experience.
Maybe you can go to the public health department where you live. It'll probably be an all day affair, but a cheaper alternative.

Sounds like it to me. Have you eaten anything new or taken a new medication of some kind? I would get to a doctor. Are you allergic to poison ivy or something?
