I got out of a relationship less than a month ago, and we were together 2 & 1/2 years. I was the dumpee.

For two weeks now i have been dating this guy 10 years older than i am. I felt comfortable around him from the moment i met him, and i know he's not a creep because my girlfriend from college has known him for 15 years. My parents think he's nice from what they have seen, but are a little concerned that i might be getting into another relationship too soon and are also concerned about the age. What can i do to get them to get over that and see that I am ready to move on and see where things go with this great guy.

Only you can decide what is good for you. Are you ready to start dating you have to ask yourself or will you use this individual as an rebound from the past relationship, not only that did you learn what you needed to learn in the past relationship to prepare you for this relationship. you see no one knows if you are ready or moving to fast but you. You are the only one who needs to be honest with you and your questions will be answered

My husband is 17years older than me and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
I mean it makes sense doesn't it when girls mature so much faster than guys. All the guys my age are ignorant turds that still have sooooo much to learn about life and relationships. I feel sorry for girls my age dating these younger pricks.
You're gonna be just fine, just take it easy. Go slow and seek God's wisdom.

If he really is a great guy, they will see that- in time. Don't make an issue out of trying to convince them, because that can backfire.

Age is all in the mind.
Relationships w/ age
differences have been
around for centuries.
It's not a novelty. Take your
time. Get to know him really well.
