What fines and or other criminal penalties should be placed on paparazzo?

is it spelled paparazzo or paparazzi?

either way it is dangerous and it is a violation of the person they are 'going after"

The fan based public should be happy with the voluntary "photo-ops" that the celeb. gives.

I swear to god that there are a lot of people on YAHOO who believe in "violating other people's rights" Did they ever take the moment to think about the issue.

I believe in a ARTIST OWNED MEDIA firm and I will help the artists build one and we will make a LAW against violating people in teh way teh "papa" violate people.....MARK THESE WORDS

People are confused on what "freedom of the press" is.....probably the same people who were confused when they RAPED me...

Just picture someone taking a picture of YOU or your child at teh grocery store and then printing it without your permission.

As I said before, the 'celebrity" give you what they want to give you....don't ask me why there has not been more "talk" back against such by more celebrity..... probably for teh same reason I have a problem making CONTACT....... get BORN

They should not be able to do this kind of photo-stuff, how would all these people who answered here seemingly in favor of "papas" like it is they're families and friends and such were followed and photographed at the store or sown on the beach.... I think these people would think a little differently if it happened to THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there should be a protection of privacy law...why isn't the annoyance paparazzi causes seen a harassment?? I'm sure there's a law against harassment.

Well, look at it this way. Even celebrities want paparazzi. Without them their publicity is gone. They are not seen and they are forgotten. Being a celeb is not easy.

Yes. As in all professions some paparazzi go an extra mile only to harass the celebrities. I guess cops can be called on them. But guess how many celebs do it? Not too many!! Because of the reasons stated above.

Well, it's not like they have bayonets attached to their cameras, so they aren't dangerous as a single paparazette (?). But they mob up, and I think there are endangerment laws in place there.

I think that celebrities don't really follow up on situations the way they could legally because then the real press can mob up, because it becomes a real story. Remember when Johnny Depp threatened the paparazi with a stick, then became a real news story because he was fighting back against the photo-hounds? Then he had respectable media tailing him, and that's harder to fight.

Fines should be placed on magazines that buy paparazzi photos, because that is encouraging the mob violence, just like buying street drugs encourages dealers.

Everyone has a right to some form of privacy..including celebrities....and yes I think something needs to be done about the Paparazzi's constant stalking.

Unfortunately they have rights too. If people stopped buying the magazines that run those photos, they'd be out of jobs. But we just love seeing Lindsay buy a cup of coffee!
