It is not Gods' will. But God did give us enough intelligence (most of us) to learn to treat and alleviate suffering.

First of all, having a disease or disability is not God's will. God would love for all of us to be perfect. Most of the problems that we encounter, are man-made. It would take a very defeatist attitude to not treat illness or disorders and just let everyone suffer and/or die. That is not part of God's plan. We are put on this earth as a test. Life is not perfect here, and God takes note of the way we handle things. There is purportedly a better life after death. If I sound skeptical by using the word, "purportedly", it's because no one has ever died and come back to tell us whether there is an afterlife. However, this is what our religions teach us, so to have blinding faith is difficult for most people. But we have to believe in something.

I know this much -- things don't just happen out of thin air. Babies, sunsets, flowers, changing seasons, morning dew, mountains, people we love -- they don't all just happen. There has to be a Supreme Being that rules our world, and we take the bad along with the good.

One final thought about treating disease -- I always like to think that the brains and hands of skilled surgeons are guided by God.

It's simply the struggle of life. Weather you believe in God or not, a lot of diseases are living things too. All animals have diseases and disorders. It is how we over come these things that define who we are. The universe can be a violent and hostile place, if we can not adapt and over come these obstacles then we don't deserve to live. I is like this with all living things, why would it be any different for us. Look what happened to the dinosaurs. No one ever said life was fair, not even the Bible.

No god or goddess created any disease or disorder. They evolved over time, just like man did. Man also evolved his own will, so its not has nothing to do with the will of any god or goddess. The main incentive for treating a disease or disorder is simply the survival of the species, whether on it gets treated is solely up to man's will. We have eradicated many diseases, and No god or goddess had anything to do with it.

diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders help us to make life better for those that have yet to be born. We treat them because it is His will. If it weren't, He wouldn't have given us the tools or knowledge to treat any illness, disease, or disorder.

That isn't to say that we will one day be like Him. We are only created in His likeness. We are therefore actually obeying God by taking care of others and their troubles, whatever those may be.

There are diseases and disorders on this earth but God gave us the wisdom to take care of some of them.

the world is sooo confused. It is not God's will for man to grow old, get sick and die. We experience this saga because of our first parent Adam & Eve. Romans 5:12 says "One man sinned and entered into the world and spread death and sin to all men" that's the history of death.

God wants us to live forever on a paradise earth, that's what the Bible teaches. God WILL for mankind will be fulfilled in the future. He will be the only one that can wipe away the sins of the world. Psalms 37:9-11, 29 (read verses from the Bible)

Well, there is also one that is evil running about, namely the Devil, and he does everything he can to destroy relationships, harmony, love, and anything that is good in the world. God will turn those bad things into something good, whether it is apparent at first or not. There are times when it is God's will for someone to become sick, but if that's the case, it is because God is using that experience for us to better ourselves, to help us grow in Him, or whatever purpose he might have for us. But have faith! "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord." Jeremiah 29:11-14

God didn't create them, rather when Adam and Eve ate of the tree of forbiden fruit(they weren't supposed to) then came all the disease and disorders...Before that life was perfect and there was none of that...Satan made them eat the fruit.

God allows diseases and disorders to exist....that doesn't mean you can't fight against them. His punishment was for us to have to deal with them, if he really wanted you to have one you could take all the medice in the world and it still wouldn't help.

My friend is a Jehovah's Witness and she gave me a book that say that it's not God's will to have disease, war, famine, etc. It's Satan's. My opinion is that whomever's will it is, God gives us the means to battle against those things. People are working on cures and look how many cures we have already.
