I've been wondering this for a while now. When I actually die, I'd actually like to have my body (if applicable), or brain (if applicable) cryogenically frozen, for possible future revival...I'm not exactly sure where to start for this type of thing though, links would be EXTREMLY helpful.

for the people that are saying this is stupid because of the expense, your basically saying that you'd rather stay dead, rather than be able to come back to life after death right?

There has been no conclusive evidence that this procedure is even a valid one..so before you go and spend a million or so on something that doesn't work..I would make a shrine to myself or leave it to a good charity, or for the research..I don't believe in this as I know I will have eternal life and it won't cost me a penny lol..good luck and God bless

If you have the money to do it, go ahead. The question is, when you are thawed out in 75 years, where is your money and how will you live. What if your skills are obsolete? Your identity will be gone, your SSN assigned to another person who may be living. Lifespans in 50 years will, in my view, around 105-110. With everyone living so long, where will Medicare be? Social Security will be a museum exhibit at the Smithsonian. You could buy land or gold but with the owner dead and next of kin lost in the paperwork over the course of time, the State would take it over and then you would show up saying, Dude, where's my property??! :) Have all your paperwork frozen with you. There are probably trusts that could go 100 years or more. Good Luck!

Why would you want to do this? Say science advances to the point they can do it in 100 years, why would you want science to bring you back to life? There wouldnt be anyone you knew around anymore, all your loved ones would be long dead. Is there something here on earth that you are really attached to that would make you want to come back? That would probably be gone too, nothing here would be like you knew it anymore, if you ask me that would be a very sad life to live, and for what? you'd die again anyway.

Peace!

As a hospice nurse, I am somewhat skeptical about cryogenics, however, if you are really interested all you have to do is go on the internet and type in cryogenics. You will find all the info you will ever need.

Waste of money...don't bother. Crystals form in the brain and kill the cells, so you'll just come back as a vegetable, if your body survives.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it because of the expense, I'm saying you shouldn't do it because you won't be able to come back.

hey that only happens in the movies... and once dead your soul leaves your body anyway, so if by chance it was to work they would have to somehow freeze you without killing you while you are still alive... good luck and by the way .. just do a search on yahoo or google and im sure you will find something that you are looking for.

it would cost a loooooooot of money. if you could find a place that would do it but ultimately it is up to your next of kin to decide what happens to your body or parts. i suggest you discuss this with your family because even if you put it on paper that these are your wishes, it may not happen. good luck on that and i hope you dont die anytime soon.

Hey man, I don't think that freezing is an option for us, but you could go to this site which explains about the after life. Just be humble this once and listen once.

your better off just saving cells , and getting cloned after your present being dies. I guess you could make an audible tape of your memories as well as getting started with a video life story too. Just another idea?

Well, you could. All it takes is lots of money. But then, who knows what will happen, & you may never be revived. Then, if you do, what will you have for money then?
What will the customs be? How will you understand them, much less comprehend them?
Why...is my question...let it go, leave it for others...
