In true paradise there would be no danger nor consequences for mistakes. For God to allow a talking snake in to tempt his children was sadistic and cruel. The fact that they sinned was merely a testament to his pathetic parenting skills.

well, i think it's not just that there was that Tree of Forbidden Fruit.. it was that God SPECIFICALLY said : you can eat of all these, but NOT THIS ONE. this caused curiosity in their minds, they were introduced to a rule, and that is what the serpent was able to seize and use as his tool to tempt them.
here's what i learned (i think in Romans 5-8)... there are Rules and Regulations we have in our society, *supposed* to be for our greater good. however, these Rules TELL us what is wrong! all of a sudden we're like, Oh, we shouldn't do this? what happens if we do it? what happens if we get caught? or Not caught? we start getting tempted to break the rules...which is where the serpent and temptation of human nature comes in again. my pastor has an example of the speed limit: when it was 55, we all drove 65. but when they raised it to 70, what do we do? we do 80 mph! so we push the limits, because we can. not cuz we're evil, not cuz we're pure.. just because.
what the paradise of God's love really comes to, i think, is ur understanding, and committment to his Word. once u accept Jesus Christ, u realize and appreciate His sacrifice. to celebrate it with Joy is to do the right thing... choose the right path.. because you Want to. because you want to Glorify God in all things, joyfully. sure, u may fall sometimes...but u can still start all over. what sin Adam brought to mankind, Jesus Christ brought love and forgiveness.

As long as there is good there is evil. Its like two sides of a coin. Reason being that As long as God exists, the devil is there to create temptation, in order to draw Gods followers away. Because the devil was able to enter it does not mean that the garden was not paradise. Turns out that paradise was not devil proof, reason being that god gave man (human) free will to do with as they please. The choice was left up to Adam and eve, to choose good. The paradise was in being one with god with out having to fear evil, or fear gods wrath. Something like the peace of mind that you get when your getting along well with every one that matters to you, rather than feeling the burden in your heart that you feel when your words or actions upset someone you love. After eating of the forbidden fruit adam and eve felt shame. the paradisde is the peace and ease that they felt in the garden and the same peace and ease that you feel when you are good with your loved ones and also with god.

We will always have to be obedient to a creator. Because as children the capacity to hurt others will always be present.
There will be rules to follow in a paradise earth.
Be faithful to ones mate. the pain of disloyality, would be much worse.
Do not kill, the pain of war or killing is much worse.
Don't lie, steal, commit adultry and jealously take or want other peoples stuff. How would you like them to do that to you?
Would that be paradise? No, a true paradise has rules.
It has to for the protection of others.

Yes, just another example of how stupid those old stories are. I asked many times, as a child, why did God put the bad tree in the garden to begin with??? No one could really give a good enough answer. And they still can't, because it's all crap.

Angels had access to Eden that is how Lucifer was able to deceive Adam & Eve.
The tempter/deceiver entered the garden, therefore, temptation was not originally present.

Good call. If desire was present, then not all things are met. So it's not really paradise, it's just "for most intents and purposes" paradise. Or something like that...

well, the bible says that Eden was in fact a paradise, however, god wasn't going to rule over a bunch of brainwashed drones, he wanted humans to have free will, and to serve him if they choose to. of course he needed to make rules and punishments because of this, as well as a source for them to sin, in a perfect world he needed something so they could show they honored him and loved him. the tree of life provided that opportunity, however, Satan, a angel who went against god (Also having free will) wanted human worship for himself, and because of that, he tried getting Adam and eve to sin against god, and it worked. really it was still a paradise, only god needed something to make sure humans served him out of love, like a good child would respect his father out of love for him.

Get the point?!
