I believe that the bible was written as a moral teaching book. Remember who wrote it, a church that suppress the people for hundreds of years if they DIDNT believe in it. And it was wrote 1000+ yrs after the fact. Opinions? and be adult in them..

Well......both, fact & Moral. The New test was written shortly after the death of Jesus. Yes you are correct about some in a Church the suppressed people...but that wasn't God or Jesus...that was people. People do all types of evil in the name of God and Jesus...but that doesn't make Jesus or God wrong.

The bible was not written 1000 yrs after the fact, i'd like to know where you go tthat statistic. Although I disagree with the way the organized church handled the bible, as i disagree with the way they handle a lot of issues, I still believe the bible is written as fact. Not because the church says so, but because, first of all because I have seen the God of the bible work and do amazing miracles on the misisons field around the world. Secondly because it can be scientifically proven through theories such as the creation theory, which supports a literal 7 day creation of the earth, as well as a flood that scultpted the earth to be much like it is today, which supports what the bibile says.

I believe that as much of it is fact as wasn't changed by men in the early church. It is not my fault for believing something that was changed by someone else and passed off as truth, and those men will have to answer for their sins.
It is impossible to speculate about which parts are original and which parts have been changed, so take it or leave it. I'm tired of all the "cafeteria Christians" out there who only pick and choose bits of pieces to believe in, and say the rest isn't important without having any kind of reason for backing up their beliefs.
