South Beach Diet. My brother is a doctor and he said it's the best diet he's ever seen. First two weeks, cut out all whites (bread, potatoes, pasta, etc.), don't eat any fruit (too much sugar), drink LOTS of water (no alcohol for the 1st phase). The main thing is to eat something at least six times a day. This gets your metabolism moving and keeps it moving. Go for a walk everyday for at least 20-30 minutes. I know it's hard to find the time to eat as often, but they don't have to be major meals and if you take your walk in the morning the energy you feel will keep you going all day. For example, breakfast could be a boiled egg (one or two), and a 6-8oz. glass of veggie juice. Your "snack" a few hours later could be celery sticks (as many as you want) and a piece of low-fat cheese (mozzarella cheese stick is fine). And so on..... you can find more information online about the diet. My husband and I did it and we have 3 children (ages 3, 9 and 17). I homeschool and work 20 hours a week as a bartender.... talk about tired !!! You can do it too !!

Weight Watchers is the best...but you have to remember that "diets" fail. You have to make a lifestyle change-which is what Weight Watchers is. You can still eat whatever foods you want-there are no restrictions which is why "diets" fail. The key is moderation. I have lost 40lbs on WW and enjoyed myself this summer: cook-outs,fairs,etc.and never felt deprived. It might sem difficult at first but it becomes second nature and at this point, I can't go back to my old eating habits which is a good thing. I made a lifestyle change. Don't let anyone fool you into "quick weight loss" because losing slow is the key. The first week or so you will lose a lot and that's all water. You should lose no more than 2lbs a week adv. You can do it online but I encourage you to go to the meetings if you can because they are really motivating!

I'm 6'1 I was 275lbs about 4 months ago. I was fat, completely out of shape. Going up a flight of stairs would get me winded. Now, I'm 200lbs and in fantastic shape.

I don't have a name for the diet I did, but you ONLY EAT WHEN HUNGRY, and ONLY EAT UNTIL YOUR FULL. Thats it.

Don't overdo it, only eat when you're hungry, and only eat till you feel full.

I also joined a gym, started by walking my fat *** on the treadmill 1 mile a day for 2 weeks 5 days a week. Then I went to 1.5 miles a day for 2 weeks, then I started to work out my muscles, shoulders, legs, abs, arms, chest using the circuit machines.

I lost 16lbs the first month, stopped being winded, and the best part- I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, only I have to be really hungry!

Stick to this, it's SOOOO easy and you'll lose all the weight.

GL!

Eat a balanced diet and exercise. Have your portions in moderation. There is no quick fix, just eat healthy and expend energy. I will give you some links to the "Mediterranean diet". I started following this roughly about a year ago and I have never felt better. Lots of good things to eat from this area of the world. The food is fresh and flavorful.

Diets are overrated...Exercise is the key...I have had three children and I am 5'2" and weight 111...I run a lot. Any exercise program that exercises the thighs or involves change in level will get you results quickest...As far as diet avoid fried food, sugary food, and snacking. try meat, cheese ,pasta and vegetable in three smaller portions...if you get hungry have a glass of milk, or eat an apple.

Weightwatchers is pretty good. I joined a couple of weeks ago and really enjoy it. Staying for the meetings is a good idea too as you get group support and ideas.
