No, I sure don't. Was it an American stupidly driving the SUV with 22 people?!!! I'm still trying to figure out how the hell they got 22 people in an SUV. It's hard to feel sorry for them when they do make it over here, they insult America and Americans. No, I don't feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for us.

I feel sorry for their families. Most of them left their families to try to get over here and make a better life and now the wife has to raise children without the husband and hardly any money. But like you said, they should have stayed their asses in their own country and they wouldn't be risking life and limb to break into ours.
This question is like asking someone if they feel sorry for someone who is trying to burglarize someone elses house and gets shot. Do you?
Michelle G- Do you realize that the two statements in your answer completely contradict each other? I reported you by the way.

While death is always tragic, I really don't feel sorry for them. They took a risk and it didn't work. They knew the risks and still attempted to cross illegally. I see it as you either could do things the right way or the wrong way. When you choose the wrong way, you get what you deserve.
If I robbed a bank and during my getaway got into an accident and died, I'm sure no one would have any sympathy for me. That's the way I see it.

I don't. I wish I could, but I don't. I know they are people, but people of any kind who break the law know what the risks are. Especially when trying to illegally enter another country! They should know what to expect considering how Mexico handles illegal immigrants. How long before illegals and their supporters demand chaperoned bus service INTO this country to 'save lives'?

Mexico needs serious reforms...hopefully the end result of their latest election will be that they have those reforms start to happen. We need our border fence, we need the US Border Patrol to be staffed, equipped, and prepared to keep people out of our country that try to enter it illegally, and the ICE and local and state law enforcement all need to join together and co-operate for this one, along with local citizen volunteers and city business leaders. Employer enforcement is also part of this.
Change will be hard, but good for both countries.

It is really hard to feel sorry for them. In the same way it is really hard to feel sorry for people dying of lung cancer that have smoked for 30 years. You cant tell me these illegals didn't know the risks. Where is the mexican government in all of this?..Why aren't the mexican people doing something to stop this? Illegals know that what they are doing is wrong. They have laws in mexico prohibiting the same behavior and the mexicans there are actively seeking to uphold their laws (immigration laws any way). I don't understand why, if these people want work they don't move to another part of mexico that can employ them.

I feel bad that people died. But it reinforces my belief that this country is still good, and is still worth fighting for. I get so aggravated with the spoiled Americans that have no clue as to how good we do have it here. Those spoiled Americans are the ones that the world despise. When we see people dying to get out, then I may reconsider by thoughts.

Those "Ilegals' as you call them are the descendants of the original landlords of the continents of North & South Americas. They are Native Americans. Whose relatives' hosptitality assisted the "boat people'" from Europe. Some of these "boat people," are known today as explorers, discovers, christians, conquistadores, or pilgrims.
The "boat people," who are called christians, puritian, pilgrims, or settlers, were uncivil guest & villianous visitors, who broke treaties, stole land, and maimed, persecuted, tortured and murdered their host. The practice of scalping was intitiated by these "visitors," to provide proof that a Native American had been slaughtered. Rewards were given for the scalps.
In the 1500's the Spanish "visitors" murdered 23 million Native Americans, 25 years. Mexico's boarder went as far north as Utah.
The descendants of the "guest" from England, were on a quest to take the land 'by any means necessary.' Intitially as agents on behalf of England, they acquired (stolen) some of the land and its resources which consisted of 13 colonies, later to become the 13 states of the USA. They villianized the Native Americans in their Declaration of Independence, newspapers, & pamphlets. By the power of the pen they validated the theft from the British overlords. With gunpowder they actuallized the theft, not only from the original thieves, but also from those whom the thieves had stolen.
The incurrsion in to the west began in short order. Pres. Andrew Jackson declared that the native were not citizens. President Polk sponsored the incurrsion further west into the Mexican Territories, with the help of Sam Houston.
The descents of the "boat people," have selective memories & monoccular vision when it come to history. "Manifest Destiny," is an example of a "brat mentallity." Brats do not want to understand the concepts of "yours or mine." The bratt feels entitled to things that others possess. The bratt is capable of murder, serial killing, or genocide to accomplish the ends.
The inheiritors of "Bratocracy" are still with us, in greater numbers and comprise a varitey of ethinic origins, including the descendants of those oppressed by the brats of the past, the decendants of pirates.
Humans are capable of any behaviour they choose. Considering the historical facts that point to the theft of land, the destruction of culture, and the continuation of practices that indicate a blood-quest for global domination to enslave the masses and control resources, I do feel sorry for the "illegals." The original landlords deserve respect, especially since the usrupers of their land refuse to concede the land to them.
It makes more sense to me that one can lay claim to land that is separated by a walkable river, than one who must suffer the rigors of ocean travel prior to steam engine technology.
The statement:
" If they stayed in their own damn country, they wouldn't be getting killed now would they!"
Could also be applied to the "boat people." This would not be an issue for the descendants of the "boat people," as you put it, "If they stayed in their own damn country!" Would it?
I feel sorry that the Human family tolerates the Human family abusing the Human family. I feel sorry that the Golden Rule is not taken seriously enough.

Um yes they would still be dieing its called starvation
The question you need to ask is We stole their indigenious lands from them with a gun can we blame them for wanting to live on the lands that are theirs and their birthright?
Europeans are the invaders thieves and murders that did all the crimes you are the desendants of them are you going to continue to opress mexicans or or live in peace and be fair and just to the victims of this crime , Its your job to correct the wrongs of the past your desendants inflicted on the innocent because you will be the one to answer to god why you continued to punish innocent victims.
Remember your european not indigenious to america.
Oh and they are in their own damn country!

While death in itself is viewed as a tragedy, I do not feel sorry for them. They could have come here legally and contributed to our society--and not just in work.
While I am all for allowing the children of illegal immigrants who have been living in the US for several years to become citizens, anyone "new" should come here legally. I am tired of letting people be paid and use our systems without paying into it.
