Depends on what you like, west coast has deep water, few ports, cool off shore breezes, sometimes. East coast has harsh winters lots of ports very shallow water, lots of wrecked ships due to shallow water a long way from shore, very humid weather due to the shallow water in the ocean: however, w/ lots of ports and also the ICW (intercoastal waterway) you could get a small sailboat and sail from Virginia to Florida w/o getting into the ocean. Basically, if you live on the East coast you might want to travel to the West coast, and vice versa. Lots more opportunities on the East coast however, if you ask me, besides it is where our Country started and there's lots of history on the n/e coast.

Now let me welcome everybody to the wild, wild west
A state that's untouchable like Elliot Ness
The track hits ya eardrum like a slug to ya chest
Pack a vest for your Jimmy in the city of sex
We in that sunshine state with a bomb *** hemp beat
the state where ya never find a dance floor empty
And pimps be on a mission for them greens
Throw it up y'all, throw it up, Throw it up
Let's show these fools how we do this on that west side
Cause you and I know it's tha best side
