If the call came, I am prepared to go. If the fight comes here... well that would be a huge mistake!

If we were in a World War, Canada would be involved as well... No draft dodging when the entire planet is fighting in one polarized war. Also, in WWII, the punishment for draft dodging in such a manner where one fled the country resulted in either being repatriated and sent to court, where they were sentenced to mandatory combat duty, expatriated, with no hope of regaining citizenship, or in some cases, outright shot while fleeing. Or, you could gamble that you would be forced into some other form of civil service.
When a World War arrises, there are other options available to you, than to join the military. You could volunteer for the Civil Defense Brigade, local police work, get a job in an industry providing critically needed parts and services... There is more than one way to serve the country than going off to fight. Pick up a book on World War II, and research the domestic effort during the war. You'll find all sorts of ideas to give you an idea of being patriotic without fighting.

I would have the courage NOT to fight. Fighting doesn't always equal strength and courage.
And who's the one doing the "calling", anyway? Just b/c your gov't tells you you need to "defend" your country doesn't mean they have your best interest at heart. Why not defend your country's right to choose?
No, I would not fight in a world war b/c I don't believe it solves anything. Violence is weakness.

If I dont fight it doesnt mean I dont have courage. Some people have alot of **** going on and cant just pick up and leave their home/family/career to defend their country. Ill leave that to the pros.
and I would NEVER move to Canada

Would you? I will follow you personally over the rim of the foxhole charging straight into a machine gun. But is your neocon heart is too weak to fight yourself, then I will stay home with you.
The next war, the rich will have to do some fighting themselves. Why, because we got class warfare coming if you guys keeping getting us into bad wars for all the wrong reasons in the wrong place at the wrong times.
The question has been, "when are you going to get it?" but now the question is "how are you going to like it when we refuse to fight in your next war, and you have to do the killing and dying?

Canada is for Clinton! I would definitely put my life on the line for this country. I would do it for my children and for all of the citizens that can't fight for themselves. God bless the military for all they have sacrificed just to ensure the rights, freedom and safety of the citizens of this country! I stand right beside you!
