When I was in elementary school I heard that one -- same wording. It was probably when I was in second grade (1979-1980 school year). It's still good, and I remember the rest of it!
The full poem's called "The Lie."
After your section:
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
He came and shot the two dead boys.
And if you don't believe this story's true,
Ask the blind man -- he saw it too!

No man swords and shot won't go each other but as u said it is non-sense then i would give u 10

it cant be a fine day in the middle of the night
