I took the best answers from the previous question and am taking a vote. Should we paint our nails, make cookies, or go out for ice cream? Daddy will spend time with the baby and adult sister.

Ask her. One might appeal to her more than others.

Honestly I would make cookies and paint nails, put make up on and have a ball. No better memory than spending one on one time with your kid and eliminating all the outside interference. Turn on some tunes (my 6YO digs country) and start the dough, dance and sing around being silly use the spoon as a microphone etc. While the cookies are baking, put on some makeup, do the nails, and then, have a bowl of ice cream with warm cookies! If you make sugar cookies then you guys can decorate them too. My little one loves this.

Do them all! First eat dinner at around NOW then go to the grocery store and buy an ice cream, then take it home and put it in the freezer, then make cookies, and while they are baking do ur nails, then after the nails eat the cookies and ice cream!

How much fun!!! I'd say do all three! Buy some ice cream at the supermarket, bake the cookies and have cookie ice cream sundaes while you're painting nails. Do your toe nails first since hands will be busy with sundaes. Have fun girls!!!

yumm...ice cream, making cookies, doing your nails....all sound good...why don't you do all 3?? i don't know if it really matters to a 6 year old....all she wants to do is be with you and will appreciate any time spent together....you can play a board game, read books together....i loved going out with my mom as a 6 year old....especially late at night if she would take me out for something to eat because then we could talk....i would say go for ice cream if its not too late....get the funnest flavor/sundae and split it.....baking cookies sounds good too, and so does doing your nails...why not all 3?

Go buy some ice cream, take it home. Then make cookies - while they are baking, paint your nails. Then indulge and have fun!!!

How about go to a salon and get your nails done and THEN go out for ice cream? Make a big night out of it.

Pick a school day .....any day of the week that works for you....and call that night " Supper at the Park ".....

Pick up supper (your choice) or take a picnic supper to a park to eat and play with your child. Afterward, go home, get the child bathed and ready for bed. Then read to your child, tuck them into bed, pray with and for your child, kiss them and hug them and consider yourself so blessed !

Or you can introduce your child to art. We used to have "Monet Mondays"....We would have a simple supper, then fingerpaint on the deck outside. Look up a famous artist, talk a little about them using simple details like when they were born, and what artwork they did that is famous. Hang up the "artwork" to dry. Put artwork on refrigerator for a week, then file away in a book to keep safe or frame for their room.

Go out for ice cream and then take a walk afterward! She'll have a full belly and be worn out by the walk and be ready for bed!!

Sounds like fun. I like the ice cream idea. You could ask your 6 year old which one she wants to do.
