So, I met this guy on a cruise a couple months ago. We hit it off and continued our fling once we were back, it was mainly phisical but I was starting to get attatched. Anyway, after a month of that he just stopped calling and I havent heard form him in over a month until today. He writes and says he hopes I am not still mad at him and he wants to take me out to dinner sometime. Should I take him up on his offer? I am tempted just to hear what he has to say.

Sure...if you're a glutton for punishment.

Sure, go out for dinner with him and listen to what he has to say. But I would have a preplanned phone call to your cell phone that would cause you to have to leave. Then you excuse yourself for the "emergency" and apologize to him. Tell him that you would like to see him again (if this is the case) and that he should call you. Goodbye. Under NO circumstances should you spend the whole evening or allow it to get physical. Let HIM be the one to stew for a while. Don't call him. Don't answer his calls the first time. Let him leave a message and then get back to him after a day or so.

I know, it sounds like game playing or a "test" but you need to find out what's the story. Good luck!

I HATE that. Why do men just stop calling without the nerve or kindness of an explanation. I think you should go ahead and go out to dinner and find out! You're lucky to be able to get an answer! He may have a good reason actually and he may even turn out to be a great catch! Good luck.

I think it woudl be wise to talk to him on the phone and ask him where he was all this while. If you're just wanting a phsycial fling then go for dinner. But if you think, you're getting into something more emotional, then talk tohim on the phone and fidn out where he was all this while. You dont want a guy who will use you for sex and then leave you and hurt your emotions. U rather go for dinner with your girl friends if you're hungry!

Give him one more chance. Some guys are afraid of getting in too deep into a relationship, for some reason.
But if he makes a habit of this, he may be just using you as a plaything when he has'nt got anyone else to go to. In that case, I would tell him to hit the road.

No...if you were having a fling and he just stopped calling you probably scared him away, now if he wants to get back with you you need to ask yourself why??

9 out of 10 times he is probably just looking for that one last encounter.

If you do go out with him watch yourself. He may just be just wanting you for dessert after dinner. If you do go to dinner with him, take your own transportation. That way you're in no way pressured.

Also if you do go out with him, don't have sex the first night. See if he calls you back after that. If he does then maybe he's worth the effort. If he doesn't then he probably just wanted to uh...have his cake and eat it too.

Then go but don't be surprised if he wants to Have sex again. Or worse he may fake on dinner. Look sometimes these people are genuine and sometimes they aren't. Do what you feel is right. But I would suggest that you be careful. Just have fun.

This is your chance to take control and get to know what he really is. If anything, you'll walk away with a free dinner and a smirk on your face.
