who agrees that anyone who disrespects people that are in the military should be beat to death with a brick? servicemen and women are - along with firefighters and cops - the bravest people in this country! most people who bad mouth them are people who are too much of cowards to serve themselves.

if we beat them are we not just as bad as they are...i think that alot of the cristism comes from watching to much media....just like vietiam the media was the cancer....if the ones that bad mouth the military or law enforcement know the facts and didnt listen to the librel media then i think there would be more respect for that area...my father served 20 yrs was in korea and vietiam..i also served my country....and yes many do join because they have nothing else to do but they made the commitment to serve....doesnt mean they dont deserve respect....put your butt on the line and look thru their eyes ...then write your blog.....i dont totally agree with want is going on over in the middle east...i feel its another vietiam....let the military do their job and keep the brown nose politicians out of it ....i also have a bro in law over there so i'm not talking out my butt.....someone has to be the tough guy or people like saddam and the idiots in iran will run the world....

People who think that way have had every thing handed to them. either that or they are on here trying to be funny and get people angry. Where I come from I grew up respecting all of the people you mentioned. I would do what ever I could if they were in need. No I don't agree with killing them but I do think the next time they need help no one is there for them. I think that is what it will take to make them appreciate what they have.

My husband is in the Army and I get soooo mad when people disrespect the military. I am proud of my husband and he is doing what the people who are doing the disrespecting don't have the balls to do.
And I agree, people who disrespect the military should be beat with a stick or something. And I hate it because half of them don't even know anything about what they are badmouthing. Most of the idiots are illinformed or make comments without the knowledge to back them up.
HOOAH!! SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!

As long as we draw a distinction between "against the war" and "against the military", I'm with you.
I honor every man and woman in uniform. I participate in any and every opportunity I have to offer them support and encouragement -- adopt a troop, marine comfort quilts, donations to USO, donations to organizations that support their families. I hire vets and yes, I give them preference over anyone else who walks in my door. Anyone who disrespects an airman, soldier, sailor, or marine in my presence is in trouble.
That does NOT equal fully unqualified support for the war. The military is doing their job, and I respect that. I don't respect the government who put them in harms way for no good reason.

We are the most misunderstood and maligned of all careers. I have been spit on, had garbage thrown at me and had my sister call me a "war monger". On the other hand I have been called a hero, had women throw themselves at me, and had many a drink bought for me. When we are needed we are gods, when we are not we are demons. It is the nature of this country that has never been invaded, always had good fortune, and selfishness is the number one virtue that we only appreciate the immediate issue. How easily we forget those who served and died.

I whole heartedly agree but wouldn't a better punishment be putting them on the front line
That way if they don't come back its no loss.
I respect and support the men and women of all branches of the military .
I don't support the war or Bushs policy's.

Although we do not agree with the nonsence that they like to throw up they like me and you have a right to voice there opinion. If they live in Iraq or other countries they would be punished for there comments however we live in America and thank our troops for freedom of speech. The best way to hurt those that talk negativly about our troops is to ignore them or let them know your opinion and stand up for what you beleive in.

I agree. They are just doing their job. Civilians can quit anytime they want to, but if you quit the military before they say you can you lose all kinds of rights that every other American enjoys. And the service men and women are the reason we have those rights in the first place.
