You have to examine the conditions that they are in. I'm not justifying it in any way because I am a survivor of rape, but some soldiers just mentally break down. PTSD- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a big problem for anyone who has experienced a traumatic event. Rape victims and soldiers fall into this category. I put the blame equally on the asshole who put them there. They probably never would have done that if we weren't fighting this stupid war with no end.

Well I hope that they are punsihed to the fullest extent of the law. I really wish people would stop acting like all military members are like that though. It's just a few bad people. I'm not sure if they are being prosocuted under the UCMJ , but this is what ithe UCMJ says about it

Disgusted. Although those soldiers are human, they choose to behave like animals. The rape was bad enough, but the massacre... was it neccessary??

Why would they deploy such young boys to Iraq? We all know 20yr olds still make very rash and stupid decisions. They ought to be punish heavily!

If the charges are substantiated, the soldiers should be punished severely. The military is looking into this with care. It will take time, because they (and everybody else) wants to be sure that they get it right.

They should face the fullest prosecution available - if they are proved guilty, which it sure looks like they will be. Death penatly would fit the crime, just like it would here in the US.

Those kind of people do more harm to the US than they can imagine.

They are a disgrace to the United States Armed Forces and need to be punished to the highest allowable degree.

We are Americans. We should only slaughter people in a civil manner.

It is not polititcally correct to rape and plunder. Killing, when ordered to do so is noble, when done independently is a crime.

Where do you draw the line?
