To be accused of being judgmental could have different meanings depending on the perspective the one who is judging holds. Some might say to be judgmental would be for one to make an accusation or assumption with lack of evidence or reason. Others might say to be judgmental is a point of view that has been determined by experience and knowledge to be correct or true or just maybe as one believes is right or true.

I think it is our free will to choose. This also means whether we choose to be judgmental or not. Judgment, however, should always be done in righteousness, without having the intent to harm or inflict pain, or to deceive another person. Judgment should be fair and sought after with much thought and prayer. Weighing in mind the laws of the universe and with a willingness to be judged by the same metes we judge others.

My definition of judgemental is viewing other people in an overly harsh manner. and having a very high standard for them..and at the same time, neglecting to see my faults or being okay with them.

Yes, all people are judgemental, but some are less judgemental that others.

Usually the more proud a person is, the more judgmental they are.

I used to be very judgmental. I am less judgmental today because I have been shocked by some of my own actions and deeds.

Yes...we are all judgemental. I don't believe we would get out of bed in the morning without a judgement to start our day. Being judgemental with others is where is becomes a problem. We cannot change or otherwise 'fix' anyone but ourselves, so judgement must be reserved for ourselves.

Judgement comes from the mind. The mind categorizes facts into small compartments and assigns tags (usually opposites) in a dualistic way. A judgemental person is someone who cannot empathize with others, or conceive a reality different than his/hers, therefore assigning negative tags to any perception that doesn't match his/her own concepts.

Judgemental is putting someone down. It is pointing out the mistakes they make or just for being who they are or what they do.

i believe everybody has some degree of "judgemental-ness" in them. I define this as having preconcieved notions, prejuduces and biases that lead to certain conclusions, without any actual evidence.

Deciding someones sins or atrocities..

we all feel our view or opinion is the right one so anything contrary makes you uncomfortable,in that way we are all judgmental...
A party loving girl looks at a christian girl and says she is a pretender, that is judgmental...A christian girl on the other hand thinks the party girl is a sinner which is also judgmental..... its human nature...

When someone tries to apply their own personal sense of morality on another person, regardless of whether that person agrees with it.

In other words, what christians are famous for.

Including you, soulsistsa, as you've demonstrated many times here on this board.

PS: saying that "god says you're going to hell" is no different to the atheist or agnostic to saying "I think you're going to hell" because we don't believe in your god.

Don't hide your intolerance behind sky wizards and make excuses based on it.

Judgmental is expecting others to have your value system and not accepting them if they do not. And NO not all people are judgmental. But if you think all people are you must be.
