There is no satan. This is a human concept created by early humanity to explain away such things as famines, disease, death, pestilence and natural disasters until science evolved enough to explain these events.

To believe in a satan is to believe that there is some battle that God could not win. This is not possible. There is nothing that God cannot be, do or have, except to not be.

It's not a contest. God deeply loves each and every one of us and wants what is best for us. He wants us to be able to live in heaven for eternity with Him. Satan is an angel that felt that he could be better than God, but Satan will eventually die. He knows his time is short, so he tries to lead astray as many people as possible. Satan's pleasure is in seeing people fall, so that he will not have to suffer his death alone. Make sense?

According to some denominational church, it is a battle between good and evil. Is it a contest? where God and Satan battling for the soul of man? NO it is not, it is not a matter of whos going to get more soul, It is a matter of choice for man. God has already outlined his law, and reveal his personality and character in the man called Jesus of nazareth. As Apostle Paul put it this way "Imitate Jesus"

God also reveal who he really was, and who satan is! Mans greatest decision in his life is to choose from whos side he was.

The devil has no power in us, he merely suggest things, and mans obey. As the scripture says "The devil comes to destroy ..." He wanted God most precious creation (Man) to go with him in the pit of destructions.

God created us
and Satan is mad

So Satan is doing everything to get God ticked off
including wreaking havoc on God's creation including us

Theres no contest here, its a matter of Satan trying to get back on God. Satans Goal is to take as many souls to rot in hell with him.

Read Genesis and study it you will find your answer

Many people understand it to be a situation where God and Satan battle for souls. However, the Bible says something quite different.

God has absolute authority and power. He could crush the devil at any moment. However, he has permitted Satan free will. With that free will, Satan has chosen to rebel against God. Satan hates God because he can't be equal with God. He can't hurt God himself, so he attacks his creation. Us. God loves us, and wishes for us to be with him and happy. Satan, for that reason, wishes for us to perish and suffer. God is perfectly righteous, so those who do not turn to him will suffer as punishment. We are still held responsible for our actions because we have free will too. Satan can't make us do anything, he can provide temptation, but often he doesn't even need to do that.

So basically, the battle is because Satan knows he's going down, and he wants to take down as many of God's children with him as possible. God wants us to enjoy him for eternity as our maker, bringing him and us happiness.

I guess tht's one way of looking at it. The Bible tells us tht we are made in God's image, therefore, we are eternal beings. The devil is also another creation who was full of pride & wanted to be greater than the one almighty God. The evil one is a fallen angel.
What do we know about angels? we know they exist to minister to the Christians. In fact, Jesus Christ died on the cross for us & not them. There is no salvation for th fallen angels. These fallen angels once beheld the glory of God & heaven and still they rebelled. They are destined for the lake of fire. They want to enslave men to sin so tht they will also be lost in eternity. I guess misery loves company. God is not necessarily battling for souls, Jesus' death on the cross already conqered Satan & hell. It is up to us to either reject or accept Christ.

I doubt you will understand, but God love us and wants to save us. The devil hates God and wants to prove him wrong and he uses us to this purpose. He (the devil) had me real good until I asked Jesus into my life. It is not a contest, more like a battle, good vs. evil.

satan is not batteling for souls... all he is trying to do is decieve as many as he can from turning to God. satan dose not need "followers", he knows he is lost. For satan it is just whatever revenge he can get from his deceptions before God ends his domination of earth and casts him down.

The devil is jealous of us because we can go to Heaven and he is stuck in hell. He wants to take Heaven away from us because he hates us. On the other hand, God loves us and wants us to go to Heaven
