The range of average IQ is generally considered to be 85 to 115. About 86% of the population falls within that range. So a score of 124 puts you well above average. The "cut off" for gifted is usually considered to be 130 (top 1% of population) but other factors are always considered in addition to IQ score.

It is well to remember the IQ tests measure certain aspects of intelligence, usually those important to doing well at school. So they are good predictors of success in school and certain careers that involve those types of intelligence but do not necessarily show all of a person's intellectual abilities, or their creativity.

It depends on the test. The average IQ is usually set at 100. Most IQ tests have a standard deviation of about 15points. An IQ of 124 probably puts you at around the 90th percentile.

Not high enough for Mensa -- but high enough where you can learn anything you want to put an effort into.
