Dear Mr. & Mrs. Athiest Where is your Confidence????

The Webster dictionary defines confidence as 1. TRUST, Reliance, SELF-ASSURANCE, BOLDNESS 2. A STATE OF TRUST OR INTIMACY.

How empty an Athiest or a believer in Evolution must feel inside. Sitting here trying to imagine where could you possibly draw a feeling of self worth. What is your meaning or purpose in life without your creater. When you take the creater out of the equation of life, whats left is accidental existance. Then mankind is left as being no more superior in existance than any other accidental creature. This means we as human being SO CALLED DECENDANTS of apes are no more greater than the avarage monkey caged at the zoo. So to validate our superiority and esteem ourselve, we seek degrees, and money to fill the void in our life. Looking to man and his devices for the purpose in life never finding the answer because it's SPIRITUAL. Man created the idea of evolution because mankind didn't want to be govern by the athourity of God. So they had to elimante Him in society.

How can you be so certain it wasn't the other way around. That mankind created god(s) because we, as a species, can't accept responsibility for our own actions. We need someone, or something, to blame. And nobody ever said we are direct descendants of apes. Darwin claimed that apes and humans evolved from the same species and THAT, my friend, explains the differences as well as the similarities between humans and apes.

You have your absolute right to express your opinions and thoughts of creationism vs. evolutionism. Just as I have an absolute right to think you're full of scatological debris.

When you put the Creator in your life what you are left with is you are a lab rat in a cosmic experiment.

Also, I infer that since you are a believer that you must not have a degree, and must be broke because those things would only fill the void that you seem to think that atheists only have.

Just because one supports evolution does not make her/him an Atheist.

I am not an Atheist, and I am a big fan of knowledge. I am not empty. I am a very religious person, and I do a lot of study.

I don't think you know what evolution means either. Humans did not come from apes, but they share a common ancestor from millions of years ago. There's a big difference there. Also, evolution has nothing to do with being ruled by God. It's a scientific theory, just like gravity. Gravity isn't in opposition of God, neither are other areas of science.

I think you need to figure out what evolution really is instead of just believing what your church told you. Independent research and thought will make you a more rounded and likable person.

So, from your words I'm left to assume your only source of self worth and confidence is in a being who is presented to you as THE single greatest being in the universe, so superior to you that your hopes of ever being better than him are reduced to nothing, right? And then YOU call OUR lives empty?

It doesn't really matter where you come from, whether your farthest ancestors were apes, whether your life came to existence out of a big universal explosion. Even then, your life can have a lot of sense, much more so if you are open-minded enough to draw the meaning of your life from different sources. My life is richer because I know there is nothing above me. Nobody's the boss of me, except for my actual bosses in my mundane job. But then again, they are above me only while I'm at work. Other than that, my only roof is my own capacity and intelligence, and of course everybody else's rights, and the ONLY law that's valid: the law of Parliament.

So, don't worry about us. We're freer than you are. We feel better because our lives are not subjected to a mythical being. We design our lives. We are the creator of our existence (well, we, and our parents, of course, to a certain age). I wish you were so free as we are.

A man created the theory of evolution because of his systematic observations of nature NOT because Darwin had an agenda to dethrone a god.

I earned my degrees because I am a very curious guy NOT because of any lack of self-esteem. Science is the only thing in which I have faith; that is, faith that truth emerges from science.
