Your job is to teach him the skills he needs to make it in this world. To give him the room to be who he is and not who you want him to be, the encouragement to help him believe in himself, the love that will teach him he is valued, and the attention that will teach him he is important. You are on the right track by seeking advice, it shows you want to do the best for him.

consistency & routine is key. bedtimes, mealtimes, etc around the same time each day. no empty threats. "if u dont stop were leaving right now!" dont make that claim if u have no intentions of following through.

Be and stay firm with him, when he does bad punish him accordingly and when he does good reward him... Kids try and push our buttons as long and as often as we allow them too. Love with with all your heart and let him feel all this love and he will be just fine...Good Luck!!!
